[Tutorial] Teach you how to uncap FPS for U8800 or U8800 Pro to 55
[Tutorial] Teach you how to uncap FPS for U8800 or U8800 Pro to 55
Today, i saw this post, and i find that the author did not make it clear, and i'd like to explain it to you, of course, thanks dodo5000's post. http://forums.miui.us/showthread.php...all-thank-you!
Some of you may have noticed that there is alway some little problem, more or less, with the U8800 produced in different month, especially those produced in July, (that's what we called SN117)
SN117 has something different in hardware from the former ones. First of all, the screen material has been replaced, secondly, it's FPS index was locked to 30 (the former ones were locked to around 45), and maybe it's for avoiding the screen flashing. And even the FPS index of the latter U8800 Pro(U8800+) was also locked to 30.
FPS index being locked to 30 seriously influenced the interface effect, when playing 3D games. And what's worse, the dynamic swithcing and zooming of the operating interface became terrible.
And the content of that post is i find out a script, it may keep the FPS index of cellphone to 55, not only SN117, all the former ones. After unlocking, the interface effect became increadibly smooth (SN117 is really smooth).
As we all know, the script can be done manually or automatically, and the attach in the post is the manual one that is to say, you have to open the script everytime you reboot your machine. This may be the reason why some of you may fell, it makes no difference.
Ok, this is my attach.
1. Automatically script
Use it by recovery, or extract the attach, copy Z89uncapfps to system/etc/init.d then setting permissions to rwxr-x---. ( Only android 2.3 )

2. Manually script
Use it by recovery, or extract the attach, copy capfps.sh and uncapfps.sh to system/etc/init.d then setting permissions to rwxr-x---. If you use this attach, you should layout when you reboot your phone every time. (Android 2.2 or 2.3)

I'm so sorry, i can't upload my files last time.
( PS. Why i can't upload files on forum,,,,)Last edited by M.SrcAsm; 11-23-2011 at 08:52 AM.
