Phantom Voicemail

I have the voicemail icon in the status bar but no voicemail is found. I've had this for a few months now. It happened after installing MIUI, when I received a voicemail before setting it up. I tried going back to CM7 and stock and it doesn't show on there. I read about the thing about switching phones but don't have one on me. Any way to hide it or get rid of it?

I don't know how but the icon just randomly disappeared a few minutes after posting this thread. I didn't do anything at all!

Pretty strange that right when I ask for help, the problem goes away. And I've had this problem for 2 months now! It feels like I got a brand new phone now.

This is due to a message waiting in the T-Mobile voicemail system. Dail 1-805-637-7243 and clear the VM and it should clear the icon. Worked for my MT4G.
