Go to theme manager and try to import it, then go to customize, bootanimation, hit the menu key and import, I used a .zip in the theme so no mtz sorry

so that worked, but for some reason the bootanimation sound from the SGS2 animation is still there....why is that?

Change boot audio sound to none or pick another in Theme Manager/Customise

Use the no app lose method and reinstall, may or may not update, I have move the best tweaks and settings over to Prime and may just do that single Vibrant Rom (Prime 360) Until I can get 4.0 working good enough to post. Follow to a"T" If that doesn't work Flash a modem from HERE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1110500 (I have best luck with KB-5) My recommendation is to update to Prime with a Full wipe and Use the SGSII Theme if that is what you prefer.
