    Shush! Ringer Restorer on MIUI

For some reason Shush! Ringer Restorer does not seem to restore my ringer. Don't know if it's an application error or whether it is not fully working on MIUI, it used to work before i think (well at least definately on Froyo), I'm currently on MIUI 1.9.9 and using a Moto Milestone.

Does anyone else who uses Shush! have any problems?

I've noticed it for a while. Pretty sure it worked on previous versions of MIUI.

I was using Silent Time Pro to automatically silence my ringer at certain times, which stopped working when I updated. I was advised that apps like these have been affected by the new anti-eavesdropping functionality. I'm assuming this is also the case for your app.

Yes that makes sense as it was introduced in 1.9.9. I'm still to update to 1.9.16....in a few minutes I'll get to that though. Thanks, at least I can see I'm not the only one.

    Yes. It's not working.

It's not working for me either as of 1.9.9.

Even EasyProfile is not working after today's update. Hopefully, the developers will update their app!

If you're running MIUI on a DX, droidxchat put out a fix for volume toggle apps. I just saw that it was released a couple days ago. As for devs updating their apps, I don't see it happening because of this anti-eavesdropping functionality.

Add Tasker and Setting Profiles to the list of apps that can no longer control Silent Mode toggle or Ringer/Notification volumes. I hope the MIUI devs can correct this soon as I rely heavily on this aspect of Tasker.

Has anyone found any workarounds to this? And does this happen even when you wipe?

Not only do apps like Shush! and Tasker not work, but if you disable sound on the camera, it mutes your phone every time you take a picture and can't restore it.

Is there a way to post bug reports to Miui and where?

    EDIT:
    Just found out the reason:

W/TelephonyManager( 1537): com.publicobject.shush is rejected when check anti wiretapping permission

    EDIT2:
I just found out that when the "Third-party access" on call settings is on, it actually disables their access. If it's off, then everything works.

Perfect - I was getting really frustrated with EasyProfiles inability to control my ringer and so was Kay-Ulrich at Smartdyne. This will make my wife very happy as my ringer/vibration will go dead silent at night - unless of course it is her calling me :-)

OK. Disabling third-party apps' monitoring does resolve the issue. Thanks.

& no, Shush! & many other of the apps mentioned are not like DND. Shush! is merely an app to restore your ringtone after a certain amount of time after you put it on silent. The other apps mentioned all deal with similar functions regarding the ringer or whatnot.
