Titanium backup says not rooted... help!!!

I flashed MIUI 1.9.9.0 after a full wipe on my incredible. I love the mod but when I open titanium backup, it says my phone is not rooted and that it cannot function without root capability. I re-downloaded superuser on my phone but still I get the same error. What's the issue here?

Superuser Permissions need to be enabled via Superuser.apk menu enable superuser Permissions. (Superuser is found in Tools folder)

You flashed it from where, second download root check from the market. Ever since the new updates to titanium it tells me I lost root I just uninstall it clear clear my market data and redownload. Works fine after that.
