There's plenty of love, just not a lot of good news.

Im another one looking forward to this! My brother uses miui in his dinc, so the thought of a thunderbolt option would be sweet! I know it will take time to port, but I hope this board becomes the place for all miui thunderbolt updates!

Nice to see some activity here...shouldn't be too much longer until we see some MIUI love.

even though they are not ready for daily use ... it is nice to play with CM7 and Sense 3.0. Any chance we can have a pre-release to play with? BTW Sense 3.0 is looking very very good so far!

^^ Agree. I've been thinking that if enough things work (calls, 3g, camera, gps) it'd be nice to play around with an 'alpha' build like we are with CM7. Though ultimately it's up to jamezelle and n_i_x, whenever they feel it's ready enough for us to give it a shot, they'll announce it. If they're perfectionists, we may be waiting a while... ;-) Not necessarily a bad thing.
Have we been able to figure out why slayher isn't releasing the source to the RIL? It's odd for a CM project not to release source, unless he's still tinkering with it. With 4G being stable, I imagine there's not much tweaking left to do, so I'm sure we'll get it eventually... we just have to be patient. Remember, our phone's only been out a little over a month, and look at how much progress there's been so far! The EVO (or was it the Epic?) didn't get WiMAX on CM for 6 months!

Just so everyone knows, I believe Slayher has released the RIL code. Another step closer to MIUI.

It's not that we are perfectionists per se... it's that releasing a ROM port without data is kinda pointless just to prove we have everything else working. Both jamezelle and I have a ton of experience with MIUI and porting it to other devices, and I'm confident we will have everything working once we can see the actual framework commits for the RIL related stuff. We want MIUI on our Thunderbolts just as bad as you guys do.. maybe even more so since we have seen firsthand just how amazing it looks on this device!

Hey, n_i_x! Nice of you to join in...great hearing from you. I know that MIUI on the TB will definitely be worth the wait. Many thanks to you, jamezelle and all the other devs working on the TB port!

Unfortunately, we may be waiting a while for that since slayher mentioned on twitter that 2.3.4 will merge before any LTE assets. Personally, I don't see what the big holdup is. More eyes looking at it means it gets fixed and tweaked faster, and the community benefits. I'd at least like to see LTE stay connected for more than a few hours before it quits, but so far it looks like he's done tinkering with the radio for now.
I'm not a developer, and this may be a stupid question, but is it possible to pull the RIL from the CM7 alpha and work from there?
Either way, thanks for keeping MIUI going for the TB!
