New radio required?

Hi guys,

I am new to rooting. After finally taking the plunge Tuesday night and installing MIUI I have been experiencing some issues when trying to make calls. The problem is intermittent and I haven't been able to nail down any specific situations for it occuring.

I have never flashed the radio, current version is:12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_M

Do you think I should try flashing a new radio? What version would you suggest?

Edit: Sorry forgot to say: MIUI 1.8.5

Well I was having similar issues, and extremely bad call quality, so what I did was upgrade to the latest version of MIUI.

I then flashed Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2 from the following link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877295

And then flashed the matching RIL from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1040986

FYI- I use MrGarack's custom build of MIUI from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1221484 - Though this shouldn't really make a difference, you have been warned.

After I did this, everything has been working great.

I flashed the same radio and RIL. Still running MIUI.us 1.8.5 and everything seems to be fine now. Might be my imagination but it looks like my signal strength has improved.
