stuck on lockscreen

Help!
Put a new theme on and now the lock screen wont unlock. When I pull it down it doesn't work. It looks like the screen size is a little off and I need to pull it further than the screen will go. I don't remember the name of the theme. Its under the latest and its a mostly black formal one. Thank you in advance if anyone could help me.

I would wipe and re-install but i haven't backed up anything within the last 3 days. Hate to lose all that work.

From my experience, very few lockscreen themes work properly on the nook.

Well; I can confirm that I'm having the same problem as well. I found a REALLY nice theme I liked (Mystic Oval), but very frequently the lock screen would... well lock and then I had to power cycle the device. Anytime I plugged in the device to charge it would get stuck at the lock screen. It got to the point where it would freeze on the boot animation. I ended up doing a factory reset and cache wipe via ClockworkMod. I'm now going to put all my apps back in and backup, THEN try my hand at themes.

If you still have CWR, you can push a modified key layout with volume down remapped to back. Pressing Back and Volume Up at the same time will force unlock the device and take you to the home screen.

I have a Sensation and have just resolved the problem and it really did piss me off.
You do not have to install a ZIP that reconfigure the key layout, when the boot animation starts playing, just repeatedly keep pressing volup+back if you don't make it the first time, try again. You actually catch a moment when the back touch-button works, and it will unlock your screen.
I hope this helps someone.

I had this problem with a theme I downloaded as well. I just re-flashed the ROM withough wiping data or anything and it fixed the problem while preserving my apps and data. Haven't tried any other themes since. It's a shame because there are some pretty cool themes out there!

You can apply any theme without the lockscreen. I know because I made this mistake many times :-).
But on the theme screen before you hit apply simply scroll the screen up and uncheck the lockscreen.
A lot of the cool lockscreens do not work on the nook so my advise is to NOT apply. The ones which are scroll down bars work fine, but anything else is fail and it's probably related to the size of the nook screen.

Another thing to try is WidgetLocker. Build your own custom lock screen. Worked for me. Costs a small bit. But nice to be able to theme without having to worry about the lock screen freezing. Also, there is NoLock but I found that it messed up two separate Nooks and had to be turned off.

Same issue here. I have applied a new lockscreen from theme manager and now I CAN't unlock my nook. I had to do a factory reset, install and configure all my app. VERY painful,

I'm working on tweaking a couple lockscreens so they are actually sized appropriately for the NC and removing the phone and text message access and icons as well. As long as the original authors agree to me posting the modified versions I'll put them up here.
Is there anyone that would want to keep the phone and / or text message access?

Fixed! If you got problem with a theme lockscreen, you should try slide it continuous, and i sure it'll unlock at a moment. Don't need reset and lose your data.

Sorry I'm late but the best thing to do is call your phone from another device and from there you can go straight to your home-screen and change lock-screens.
