Re: [ROM] HTC Desire S v4 (saga)

    I'm running V4 on my Desire S
Under Privacy Protection I Enable Access Control and select the App
Previously I could select if it should be password protected or hidden
On V4 it only says Protect and hide applications but it only protects with a password and no hide option
Am I doing something wrong or is this feature not available yet?

    Thanks for the great work

I get corruption on the camera pictures, I did a full wipe of Data and Dalvik and a full factory reset prior to flashing, any ideas?

Re: [ROM] HTC Desire S v4 (saga)

Using ROM 2.6.15 I catch a very very very big bug
After someone calling me, or I calling to somebody - touchscreen is turned OFF.. Buttons Vol+ Vol- and Power are working normally. And the telephone working normally at all. But when I touch it - nothing is happining Buttons under the screen are not working to.. I have to reboot my phone after each incoming/outgoing call .___.
When I use telephone without calling anybody - all works normally (except some things).
I think the problem is in "proximity sensor". But it is only my opinion..
I hope that in next rom this bug will be killed

P.S. About "Except some things" I mean that Miui v.2 is faster than miui v.4. Annoying "lags" when you sliding the screen.. When you start the app - it is staring very very slow with white screen before it.. and etc.

P.P.S. Sorry for my English, I know there are many mistakes here)) But I hope you understand me

Re: [ROM] HTC Desire S v4 (saga)

    Hey all!
Been using miui 2.4.20GB but thought it was time to go to Ics, with JB coming out.

Installed 2.6.29 yesterday and after a few glitches, camera is now working.
But I cannot get the volume to wake working or find any settings for it in menu's.

Also (due to dodgy power button) use 'turn out the lights' app to switch screen off, this or any other screen off app has same problem in this rom, you press off, screen animates off & switches off, but 1 sec later turns back on. All power off apps have this problem!

Had to go back to Gingerbread as it just doesn't work quite well enough for everyday.
It is by far the best ics rom I've tried so far (tried a few).

Just thought I ought to log the problems I've had.

    Thanks Superkid!

This ROM doesn't seem to work on my UK Desire S. And I know there are MIUI websites for different parts of the world, but the UK site sucks...

    @JDDurrant
I'm a UK Desire S owner - got my copy of the rom from miui.us section of 'Rom Manager' and appart from a few niggles, it works perfectly.

Re: Many functions does not work on [ROM] HTC Desire S v4 (saga) 2.7.13

    Hello,
I have just flashed the new upgraded rom 2.7.13 in to my HTC Desire S. I have flashed it as per the direction given. The following problem persists:
The soft keys does not have the lights so in dark you cannot operate the phone correctly.
When I press updater the response I get is "application unexpectedly stoped".
The above two problems are also there in previous versions as well.
Can anyone advise me whether I am doing any wrong while flashing the rom or it is the bug of the rom????
Would appreciate any help in this regards.
    Many thanks.

I have same error as you in the Updater app, but I never use that app, so isn't a problem for me!

The softkeys for me are working fine!! Be carefull, if you are under Automatic Brightness the soft keys light will only turn on when there is few light, if not, you don't need no see the light, don't you?

    Hope I help you!

Hi guys, does anybody know what's going to happen now, after official 2.8.3 release? When could be new rom possibly expected? And will the flashing process be as tricky as with miuiandroid's?

I tried both 2.8.3 on my Desire S phone, but neither work. I have done a factory reset and cleared Dalvik cache, but when I start I only get a black screen (till I pull the battery out).
I also tried the german version (2.8.3), but that rom didn't work too.

Do you mean a black screen early in bootup (after HTC screen, before MIUI splash screen), or later? If earlier, did you try fastboot flash boot.img? This will probably fix it.

I did multiple clean installs of 2.8.3 and 2.8.10 - phone started up and was functional, but got "System UI has stopped" on bootup, and never had a status bar along the top...
