Installation Instructions:

• Boot into recovery
• Create a backup
• Perform a factory reset if coming from a different ROM, wipe dalvik-cache if upgrading from a previous version of miui
• Install zip from SD card
• Reboot and enjoy!

Camera with 1080p record works but no continuous shooting. the an stock HTC sense thing and it will be very hard to port the htc sense cam to AOSP

Got my new Evo, flashed this, lovely!

But Google Now not really working, and voice search not working at all ... is it just me?

I don't know about anyone else but if you flash the jbgoogle aps from goo manager, Google Now and voice search works perfectly.

Is there any side effects to doing this?

Its just the way miui works. Its been like that since late in the ogevo builds. Idk if the Chinese like seeing both or if it runs both WiFi and mobile at the same time. There use to be a setting to just show the cell signal .

That never happened with MIUI on my Evo 3D. Perhaps a fix was implemented for that on the version for that device. However, if that quirk is something that's unfixable at the moment, I'll try and get used to it. I do miss MIUI. Thanks to the OP for showing some love to this device.

Go to the toolbox under settings. There is an option to fix the signal bar.

It still shows the 3G and wifi signal icons after toggling that option but it's all good. I'll live...lol. Thanks though.

Download goo manager from the market place, there should be a link within there for the jbgoogleapps zip file

I know, vague. I don't remember the exact method since its been months.
