    MIUI.us Toolbox add-ons

MIUI.us Presents Toolbox add-ons for select official devices

With the growing popularity of the MIUI.us toolbox we've decided to make it available for official devices by providing a flashable add-on zip. These add-ons provide the necessary files for integrating the toolbox into select ROMs that are normally just translated directly from miui.com. Once you flash the add-on you will be able to enjoy all the customizations that the toolbox has to offer, as well as some of the handy tools like CPU frequency settings and ADB over WiFi.

    Installation Instructions
    1. Place appropriate add-on zip onto your device's SD card
    2. Boot into Recovery
    3. Choose install zip
    4. Select the add-on and flash
    5. Reboot and enjoy the MIUI.us Toolbox

I downloaded the nexus 7 zip, wiped dalvik/cache and then flashed it. My nexus got stuck at the xiaomi screen every time I tried to boot.

    I'm running team shogun's miui.

I had to wipe and reflash my ROM zip in order for it to work again. Is there a reason the Miui.us Toolbox is freezing my tablet?

The same thing happened to me on my Galaxy Nexus until I flashed the miui.us ROM. Now the launcher DPI is too low making everything small. I don't know where to change the DPI settings.

AFAIK MIUI.us Toolbox was designed to only work with MIUI.us's release. I'm not sure Team Shogun's release is based on MIUI.us's or not. Even if it is, MIUI.us Toolbox was not designed to work with modified releases.

Long story short, if you want to use MIUI.us Toolbox, it's best to flash MIUI.us's releases for now

To change your DPI, use something like Root Explorer and go to /system/build.prop and open it with Text Editor. Scroll down until you see something like dpi=320 and change that number to whatever you want. I personally set it at 240. Save it and reboot.

Please be sure you know what you're doing as you're editing a system file.

Thanks for replying. I'm familiar with modifying the build.prop to change DPI settings. I've discovered, however, that the MIUI.us Toolbox replaces the MIUIHome.apk with one that is not compatible with XHDPI devices (Galaxy Nexus). Changing the device DPI does not affect MIUI home, as it does not have the necessary files to run larger icon and such. I may modify it a bit when I get home.

    Re: MIUI.us Toolbox add-ons

so i'm porting the crespo version of miui to my crespo4g and finally have everything working nicely and last week i took 2.9.7 and flashed the crespo toolbox over it after modding the framework.jar and it worked beautifully. i just tried flashing the toolbox over 2.9.14 and got bootloops on the Miui.us screen. i looked into the .14 build and .7 build framework.jar files and there are many code differences between the two so i was wondering when you were planning on updating the toolbox to the latest build?

Haven't been around here for a while, but just saw this and wanted to say, great work. Looks like a very promising addition to MIUI.

I thought this was now native to MIUI Builds?

    Re: MIUI.us Toolbox add-ons

I have just upgraded my Google Galaxy Nexus (I9250 / Maguro) to the latest MIUI.US release v3.2.22.

In this versions there is no MIUI.US Toolbox

So I downloaded it from this page went into "CWM v6.0.3.1 Touch" and applied the zip. After choosing reboot, my phone hang at the MIUI.US startup anime. Had to re-apply the 3.2.22 update to get it up and running again.

I was wondering if you have an updated version of you great toolbox?

    Friendly regards
    Stefan / Denmark

The dev has moved on to chOS ROM so there won't be no more updates on this. Sorry
