[ROM][Jellybean][11/02/2012] MIUI.us v4.1 for T-Mobile SGS2 aka Hercules

I'm having troubles with this rom. I new to all this so maybe it's something I'm doing. I installed the rom according to the directions, but after the SAMSUNG flashes across the screen it's just black. I think it might be my kernel, so i was wondering what kernel should I use?

How weird bro! I've been running this build for 11 hours already and it's solid as a rock.
This is what I did too flash it in case it helps you out a little.

I did basically the same thing and got a black screen after the Samsung logo. I was originally using CWM and used both Darkside's Superwipe and cache wipe. I noticed you were using TWRP and even tried it with that, both with and without running the tdj's cache wipe script. Haven't had any issues flashing JB based roms (mostly CM10 and AOKP) until this one, although I have had some stability issues with JB in general.

There are 2 downloads.

MIUI v4.1 2.9.7
MIUI v4.1 2.9.7.1

I downloaded the first one and got ID MIUI v4.1 2.9.7. I was having issues and redownloaded and I now see there is a MIUI v4.1 2.9.7.1 now. I am unsure what changed but I am unable to install the second one MIUI v4.1 2.9.7.1 I am hoping this helps people.

I am wondering what was changed for the .1 update. You only see this when you complete the download.

I also couldn't boot the 2.9.7.1 build. I tried updating the 2.9.7 and a clean install... I've also tried downloading again with the same result.

Thanks for the ROM, it's excellent. The only problem is it doesn't have a sim toolkit. Could you include it in your next update or if anyone knows how to install it, could you please give me a tutorial. Thanks

I followed your install directions to a “T” but I cant get past the Samsung logo screen.

Yep having the same problem! i can't even get back into recovery so I'm having to restore my phone back to restock so i can get into my backup.

2.9.7.2 is OUT GUYS..... CHECK IT OUT. This new update does boot up.

I am still having issue that I am loosing 10 apps from the new load. I am unable to Load USAA app. It is saying missing Shared Libary. I am getting this on Gas Buddy as well.

not sure if this is rom related or should be posted somewhere else. I can't find any answers for this issue. when I theme I get white on white text

This update fixed a lot of the bugs I was having. Apps no longer have trouble opening.

Having some random reboots.. Also battery is draining quite fast on the new update, 2.9.7.2. Other than that ruining pretty fast and smooth. Still my daily driver Lol

Try flashing a different karnel

Has anyone had problems installing certain apps. A few won't install... Also, BT audio isn't working. Does a different kernal help?

Latest update is the best one yet. I'm still having a few issues such as randomly losing all audio for the device and randomly getting a blank screen, both I fix by rebooting. I'm curious about flashing a different kernel. Were can I find a different kernel?
