Installation Instructions:

• Place ROM zip file in your SD card
• Boot into recovery
• Create a backup
• Install DarkSide's super wipe from SD card - download
• Install zip from SD card
• Reboot and enjoy!

I'm getting the weirdest thing... with a clean install phone boots up fine while plugged into the wall or usb... once the phone is unplugged the "system UI" crashes and locks up the phone. The only fix is a battery pull or long PB hold. If I plug it back in the phone starts up fine. Maybe I had a bad download. I'm downloading again.

Yeah I didn't post that one for a reason But 2.8.31 is now up and it fixes that issue plus quite a few others. This is soon to be everyone's daily driver (at least those that want to run MIUI on their hercules)

I'm definitely one of those... so a big thanks for pulling it together.
I installed 2.8.31 but ended up going back to .24 because the music player doesn't play. I was also hoping .31 would fix the camera resolution bug but 3mp is still the highest resolution.

What's it doing? Does it read the MP3 location? If it does, open music player, play a song,and try to kill the app , then start it back up and should work,

Looks like I have the call quality issue.

Apps and even settings controls keep closing without releasing the memory, and jumping back to the home screen. I re-installed all of my apps from the Play Store rather than restoring backups, to keep everything as clean as possible, but I can not add new accounts because it jumps back to the home screen before I can even enter the username and password. I know the apps are still running and not releasing memory, because if I long press home they still show as running tasks.

Anyone else seeing this?

That's actually typical android behavior. Android will [i]pause[i] activities/apps when they lose focus. If the system needs more memory it will kill one or more background apps so that it has the memory to launch a new one. You can always force an app out of memory by bringing up the recent apps list and swiping up on the app you want to remove or you can free up all of them by pressing the button with the broom in it.

As for the account settings, I've been able to create multiple accounts without it closing so I'm not quite sure what is going on. If anyone has this issue and knows how to get a logcat, please do and send it my way.

This is a great rom, and quite an upgrade from the ICS base. Thanks to the miui people who put this together. Now my sgs2 really does infringe on apple patents

ROM runs very well. Call quality has no issues.

Hey OP,after number of re-downloads and flashing, phone wont go passed the samsung screen,i read on XDA that other people are having the same issue with booting,
Thought i give you a heads up

How weird bro! I've been running this build for 11 hours already and it's solid as a rock.
This is what I did too flash it in case it helps you out a little.

Downloaded the ROM and placed it in the root of my SD Card.
Checked MD5 to make sure it matches the one in the OP.
Booted into recovery.
Flashed Darkside Super Wipe.
Flashed ROM.
Reboot System.
Waited 10 minutes without touching anything.
Rebooted phone once again.
Waited 2 more minutes then sign into my Google account.
Setup the phone.
Done.

I hope this helps you getting it to work.

BTW I'm using TWRP 2.2.2.0 recovery.
