Re: MIUI.us v4 Maguro (Jelly Bean 4.1)
Hello friends .. Just flashed over the latest rom ..
Found some observations: I request you friends to suggest/comment/provide a solution.
1. Volume is less. (I had SGS before which is louder)
2. Screen is bluish and a bit dim (Expecting bit brighter) Also, full brightness is lesser to what was expected from the phone with S-Amld screen.
3. Signal loss frequent and every time when I change theme signal is lost (I wonder what it has to do with the signal)
Friends, Can you suggest something to fix 1.Volume 2.Brightness 3.Signals.?

updater
Hi... lovely ROM... perfect attention to details... I'm stunned.
The updater keeps crashing though. Without having opened it.
Cheers

Re: MIUI.us v4 Maguro (Jelly Bean 4.1)
1. Volume: you can try an app like Volume+
2. Screen has been gama adjusted in the kernel to give a more accurate color distribution. It is not stock, but most people prefer it. If you want it to be more like stock, so colors are not as deep or rich, flash another kernel.
3. Don't have GSM hardware to help with signal lose. The signal lose due to applying a theme is because when you change themes, the entire framework needs to reload to apply the themed framework without rebooting. So it is almost like a soft boot but not quite.People say that if you play Microsoft CD's backwards, you hear satanic things, but that's nothing, because if you play them forwards, they install Windows.
If at first you don't succeed, paint it shiny white and put an Apple logo on it. You can make a fortune on upgrades.

Re: MIUI.us v4 Maguro (Jelly Bean 4.1)
I agree that would be the preferred layout and it may be possible with some digging around in systemui. However, it will break any themes that mod the nav buttons and possibly affect MIUI's method to enable / disable recent button. I wish China would get on board w/ Google's button layout, but then I wish all manufacturers would too, but I don't see that happening either way.

Bugs so far;
1-Miui.us toolbox app force closes when you switch to launcher tab inside the toolbox.
2-Messaging app force closes sometimes.

Re: MIUI.us v4.1 Maguro (Jelly Bean)
Hi,
A few more items that would be nice to have sorted out:
Updater is not working
Network Operator on the Notification bar can't be removed. (In my opinion, that's a waste of screen space)
Battery indicator - percentage - not working
If I notice something else, I will post.

Re: MIUI.us v4.1 Maguro (Jelly Bean)
1. What is updater not doing? Flashing the update for you? Downloading the update?
2. The "Network Operator" text can be removed using MIUI Toolbox. Just set the custom text to blank (which is what it is by default).
3. Will look at the percentage issue. It was working last week fine for Toro, haven't checked that yet this week.People say that if you play Microsoft CD's backwards, you hear satanic things, but that's nothing, because if you play them forwards, they install Windows.

Re: MIUI.us v4.1 Maguro (Jelly Bean)
i have upgraded to 2.9.28 but this is still based on Android 4.1.1 Rev4 (JRO03L). I have read in en.miui.com forums that with the latest version it have to be Android 4.1.1 Rev6 (JRO03R). Why this still uses rev4?
