Hello friends. M new to this forum. How is the battery life with the MIUI-JB?

Is anyone else having a problem with GPS not working at all? I've tried a clean install and a different kernel with no success.

Works perfect in 2.8.24. Locks in less than a minute with iGO.

just throwing it out again. I had a couple of problems with miui on my sg2 epic touch. Getting the nexus now and curious if they have been addressed.

1. Is the native sms still limited to 160 characters. And please, I know that there are other sms apps, but would like to keep the stock one.

2. On TouchWiz, if you hit the search key, the keyboard comes up and when you type the auto correct works on the keyboard. On the version of MIUI, when you hit the search key, the keyboard comes up, but auto correct doesn't work. How is it on this new version of MIUI?

That seems pretty slow. Have you tried fasterGPS? Works on rooted phones

No need for it. Less than 1 min it's perfect for me.

Sorry, 2.8.24 will not have Toolbox. Can't verify SMS character limit on GSM because I don't have the device myself, anyone else verify?

Hey tatail, are you on a gsm phone? if so, can you fire off a long sms and see if it works. The suspense is killing me

I'm on a GSM GNex and I was able to send a SMS with 300 characters

That's good news. You didn't have to use a third party app? Just the stock miui messaging app?

If I could ask one more thing.? When you hit the search key, does miui allow spell check? TW does allow, but mui on ics didn't.

I use stock. But I do not have a search button to test that

yea, looking at the phone, there doesn't appear to be a search button. When you click the google search field, do you get auto correct?

I do not. I only get the suggestion drop down menu under the search bar

Sorry bud, I just saw your post. Even if I had seen it earlier I would not have been much of a help, because I am not running MIUI right now.

Glad to see some activity here.

tatail: what do you mean by stock navigation bar?
You cannot remove the 'menu' button from the nav bar, only recent. China seems stuck on having a menu button.

if install the theme MIUI_4 CONCEPT_ICS_v1(2.8) you can have stock 4.1 navigation bar but with the menu

do we need wipe and reflash the rom for installing kernels like franco or trinity ?!
