Button savior / Virtual Button Bar / Soft Keys...which do you use?

I've used all three and prefer Button savior.

Due to skins and the dev willing to add bottom left/right options allows you to put the buttons in various places. Soft keys was buggy and fcing on my system. Virtual button bar was nice and all but just has no skins.

Been using savior. I really like soft, but I can't get it to work right with go launcher. If I used the stock launcher, soft would be my daily.

I really like zmooth because of the gestures, but wish there was a way to do a search.

Search on zmooth is an open ended loop from left to right. Kind of looks like a ribbon. Like this

Somebody needs to add those bottom bar permanent keys. It would make MIUI for nook complete

    +1

You can get soft keys to act like that with some tweaking, but I'd prefer an approach more like CM7 or the default Rom.

I've been using Soft Key since my CM7 install. It is buggy and would crash often. It was in-the-way for me and I'd find myself going through the options to turn it off/on when I needed it. Very frustrating. Button Savior is pretty cool. The response isn't as sensitive as I'd like, but it works and I can hide it when I'm done. Take this with a grain of salt. I just installed MIUI on my NC yesterday so I'm still getting used to the non-app drawer interface.

I have had a nook color from day one. I am simply amazed to see so few developers realy takle the soft button issue.. it is quite sad... I would have imagined that some one would have developed a modified version of the stock bn bar by now. I was excited to see miui for nook but saddened to see no new ideas on this issue.

i think remaping hardware buttons is probly best. Im suprise there is not a spin off of zeem or launcher pro that includes nice buttons.

    Hello,

Is a bit strange that there is no solution in transfering the Status Bar at bottom and insert the virtual buttons on it...

The only reason that I am thinking of going to CM is for the status bar...

I suppose is not a difficult thing to implement, just take it from CM, however someone with knowledge should spend some time on MIUI for Nook and implement it...

I suppose we are a bit unlucky in that not any developer has faced this issue in order to solve it!

Re: Button savior / Virtual Button Bar / Soft Keys...which do you use?

Button Savior is what came on the card I used to boot my NC via Miui. The lack of the bar at the bottom of my screen and an app drawer are the 2 things I am currently disliking about Miui. This however is my 1st full day using Miui so I'm trying to give it a bit more time...but may go back to cm& for those reasons.
