Problems with Media Audio over Bluetooth (MIUI 4.6.15 & 4.6.22)
First, I tend to ramble a bit, so please bear with me. I'm desperate for some help with this issue, and have exhausted all other resources I can think of. Second, let me say I am a fairly raw newb when it comes to ROMs. I know just enough to brick my phone. Fortunately, Odin and I have become tentative friends over the last couple years, so the damage I inflict upon my poor Fascinate is usually only temporary. I also maintain the insurance through Verizon, though...just in case.

Because of my newb-ness, I am placing this thread here, rather than posting in the Bugs thread. I simply cannot imagine that I am the only one out there that listens to audio through a bluetooth with MIUI, nor that it is only MY phones having this issue, yet no one else has reported it. This leads me to believe that my issue is actually an I/O (Idiot Operator) error, not a MIUI bug.
About a week and a half ago (13JUN2012) I discovered MIUI and simply fell in love. In my humble opinion, this ROM takes all the other roms out there, bends them over a table and spanks them. Hard. And makes them like it. Unfortunately, I spend a LOT of time on the road in a noisy, 4-wheeled tin can with no radio, AC, etc. and have nothing but my Fascinate and my bluetooth to keep me sane. Hence, a problem with media audio over bluetooth becomes VERY important to me.

**EDIT**Forgot...I have one other small issue: I occasionaly get an error message stating "Unfortunately, Updater has stopped working" with two buttons, "Report to MIUI" and "OK." If I choose Report, the report is generated and sent successfully. If I hit OK, the message simply goes away.
I have installed MIUI on to my Fascinate coming from AOKP with no prior bluetooth issues. Prior to AOKP she was stock Gingerbread. I have had these same issues on two seperate Fascinates (mine and my wife's - wife's ROM history is Stock Froyo, Evil Fascination, MIUI). I have also tried 3 seperate bluetooth headsets (Plantronics BackBeat 903+, Plantronics Voyager Pro HD and BlueAnt Q2). No matter the combination, the issues remain the same. The logcat is generated using my Fascinate and the Plantronics Voyager Pro HD.
With no bluetooth connected, OR bluetooth connected but Media Audio disabled, everything works fine. The issues occur when Media Audio is enabled. Once MA is enabled, I am unable to hear any notification sounds (incoming SMS, keytap, etc.) from my Fascinate, either from the handset or through the bluetooth. Incoming calls ring normally and I am able to have phone conversations through the bluetooth with no issues. If I go into Sound settings and attempt to listen to ANY sounds, notification or ringtone, local or online, I immediately get a small black box near the bottom of the screen which reads "unable to connect to network". Music player will play audio through the bluetooth headset, however if the phone attempts to play a notification sound, the music player will APPEAR to play, but no sound is heard from either the handset or the bluetooth. Once Media Audio is disabled or the bluetooth is turned off, notification sounds resume though the handset immediately. Sounds/ringtones begin playing normally within the Sound Settings menu. The music player will still only appear to play, but will resume playing sound through the handset once a new track is selected.
For the moment, I am reverting to AOKP. Please be aware, however, that I am more than willing to flash back to MIUI for any additional needed info, or for attempted fixes.
I humbly await the application of your supreme intellect to my paltry issues and the glorious day I can enjoy MIUI on a daily basis.
