Great. Have you flashed 2.7.6 yet? Anything to report? My device is still charging. Might as well inform myself on bugs that may be out there.

Haven't found bugs yet but wondered why theres is a backup folder in init.d with files in it ?
The Facelock lib file is still there
nothing important just some things i noticed

Hey! When I place a call, the screen goes to the boot animation. It stays that way through the call. I can hear the person answer and talk, but they can't hear me. When they hang up, the GUI restarts as if I'd just booted the phone.

Sorry. I was having troubles with the webpage on my work computer... I had a more complete description that disappeared while trying to post.

I'm running the "latest" build, which is still listed as 2.6.22 on the download page, but downloads as ...v4_2.7.6_Eng.zip.

Okay, we have two captivates. I ran the 2.7.6 on mine and it's working amazingly well, everything is awesome. Had no trouble flashing. I am trying to run it on my wife's, and it flashes the new kernel, then resets and begins installing the update package. It hangs up roughly 80% through it and never progresses again. I tried flashing back to stock, flashed GB bootloaders and a CWM recovery kernel, then wiped everything (data, cache, dalvik, etc) and tried again. Still the same effect. It just hangs there. Anyone else experienced this? Any clue where it's hanging up, or how I can find out?

I've installed MIUI 2.7.6 on my captivate several hours ago. So far so good. It's the first MIUIv4 I've tried on my phone since MIUI GB. Its fantastic, very fluid. Everything works. The themes are super eye candy!

It seems your port is based on CM9, which I've used for several weeks and is a great and super stable ICS.

Thanks for porting and maintaining MIUI for the cappy!!!!!! It has become my favorite ROM.

BTW, I've modified several ICS-based ROMs (including MIUIv4) for our cappys that intend to reduce the risk of the infamous EU bug by using /data and /sdcard on the external SD card: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1711150

May I post the modified MIUI on that thread with the proper credits and "do not report bugs"?

Maybe try flashing another kernel right after you flash the rom. Devil kernel works great with this ROM, I recommend 0.79, 0.86, 0.93.
