Unknown phone number issue

Ever since upgrading my phone which is a inspire 4g to miui my phone says unknown phone number in status. I read posts about putting sim into another phone and setting up the number on the sim. Well i put my sim into my old blackberry and it displays the number and i didnt have to add it. So i dont know how to fix it. I setup my profile in contacts and still nothing. This has been driving me crazy i cant figure it out for the life of me. I can't use tikl and some other apps.

Please help

Do you think it matters that my phone now says Desire in about phone instead of inspire? Sorry idk but just taking wild guesses now. Any help would be appreiciated

Did this ever get resolved for you? I recall this happening to me, as well. I initially did put my sim into another phone, powered up and it recognized it. Then I put it back in my Inspire and it was ok. The only thing is that it doesn't show up in the phone settings.

Also, if you want to make your phone show as Inspire, have access to AT&T apps in the Play store, or if you have some audio issues, check out the post about InspireMod. I use this mod on my Inspire.

This worked on Droid see if it works on HTC as well

1. tap phone button from home screen. (call log shows up from there)
2. long press on # you want saved.
3. select save to people.
4. save to existing contacts
5. select contact
6. number shows up and you can select which type of # it is. ( home, business, cell....)
7. select save.

Try that. not sure why it doesnt work for you..
