Hi again

I am aware of the wifi tethering issue, but I can't seem to be able to get usb tethering working either. Is it just me?

Do u have semaphore kernel? If yes open semaphore application, find "Netfilter" option, turn it off then turn it on again, reboot ur phone.

on both latest versions:

I am having issues with the external memory card. I can read from it but:
single file copy - work just fine (either from computer or from internal)
multiple file copy --> crap - things get stuck after 1 or two (mainly trying to copy mp3)

Anything I can do for it ?

not off the top of my head I'll have to look at this for next release. And see if its something I missed. I know its slow going but if it works one or two at a time you might have to do it that way.

thanks guys there is a bug in thememanager not applying themes will be uploading again with last weeks thememanager if it is an issue for you just download rom again if not then should be good in this weeks release.

Thanks for keeping up updates for our SGS.
I downloaded the latest 2.6.29 Rom but the theme manager is still not working.
That's why I'm a little bit confused which rom you mentioned with "this weeks release".
Are you going to upload a new version of the 2.6.29 with a working theme manager?

Yes i will be sorry have been a bit busy today, have not updated with working theme manager yet sorry will post when done.

Updated and replaced original upload with working theme manager. The version is the same and zip still named the same, nothing has changed except thememanger. If you want a working theme manager just download again. sorry for delay on fix.

Hi... Calendar widget not working properly, it takes too long to update, and sometimes it doesn´t update at all. I´m currently running 2.6.23, now downloading 2.6.29... I´ll be writing again after the update.

About calender havent looked into it, wasnt aware of that problem.
About theming, that is not my department man sorry. getting the ROM running at its best is all i care about at the moment, themes aren't on my priority list.

sorry for bugging: but the exteral SD-CARD issue is still present...:
what you can do: open directory, write a single file.

What you cant:
copy more than one file at a single go: one the second (buffer size ? ) speed suddenly falls to non... and everything stops...

All the rest - is much smoother !

one update - tried different file size for a single file transfer: it seems that 7M was ok, but hitting 13.5M - just "did it" and the transfer failed with a single file transfer.

possibly a clue?

yeh i have a init.d script for sdcard readahead forgot to add it. With RootExplorer (can download through update me or play store) Look in system/etc/init.d/backup folder there should be a script in there S76enable_sdcard_1024kb. move that from backup to the init.d directory. Now on the file select permissions (press & hold select permissions) 1st column tick all 2nd column tick top only 3rd column tick all press ok reboot and then try.
I copied from sdcard to emmc 3 roms (177.69mb,177.81mb,177.22mb) took about 2 minutes didnt fail, copied from emmc to sdcard folder 2 of those roms and no problem, then tried 4 mp3 music files took 2 minutes or less from emmc to sdcard and no fail.
that was without adding the script. I dont know why your having this issue. is your external memory card on the fritz maybe? what you using for file transfers?
I did all that with root explorer and the stock file browser.
