Brad, how can I install the bigmem patch in the Mackay kernel?
Second suggestion/question is in apps, could you make an option to check all the apps or some and move them to sd card? Because right now you need to enter each app and hit Move To SD....
    Thanks

You can use titanium backup to move multiple apps to sd card.

That isn't showing any abnormal process, which can be a sign of a dodgy rom or rogue app. All it is showing is a huge screen drain. I take it you've tried reducing the screen brightness (a lot), and making sure it isn't on all the time

I have always released with Mackay on last month or so with ICS version and no issue with it. The bug reports were ROM related. it was great.

Long story short, I decided to listen to the members request and constant demands. This caused me nothing but trouble and barely any time to myself. Mackay has always been my choice to release with. If you want devil flash it after install ROM.
Mackay will be the kernel getting released with this ROm.
I can't agree more. For you must be of course better to release ROM with best performance/stability and Mackay and Semaphore fulfills it. If someone wants to use something else, there is no problem to change it. I had troubles with Devils kernel all the time, so I always changed it in few hours/days, because it was unusable for me.

Btw last ROM is better than previous, only wifi remains very bad. I'm often loosing signal even 5 meters from switch with one wall with closed door between my SGS and switch. On 2.8.3 I had great wifi signal in whole apartment.
Similar problem is on my other router in another building - there I have switch in 2nd floor and if I'm on 1st floor my I can connect my SGS in only about 30% of places in compare to 2.8.3. And it has same modem, so very strange..
Is just my case, or it's known MIUI JB negative attribute?
And of course not working rotation in messaging..

WiFi has been an issue with jellybean from day 1 but always looking for a fix.

Rotation is a MIUI bug from what I have read.

With the kernel issues will soon be solved got a little present in store for this weeks release

    Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release

The BIGMEM patch files have been added by default with the ROM. its just 6 .so lib files so if your running the ROM and didnt change the kernel, flashing the patch wont make a difference.
thanks naa27 i should have specified on OP, sorry for that. But always a big help as usual i was a bit slow to reply on this one.

Sounds like your sdcard crashed. Try reflash with stock gingerbread see if that solves the issue and flash the rom over that

    Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release

sorry if i am diturbing, but is it possible to provide a rom in stock version with no additional software of miui.us and others. your rom is great and i appreciate your contribution to miui but i prefer clean install and clean system at start.Different fixes are nice but it is all that this rom needs. It is too laggy after install with all that stuff and it takes me a lot to delete through rootexplorer different bloatware.

sorry again if i said something wrong.

    Thanks for the feedback.
Handbook (by miui) - not needed
Antivirus (by miui) - not needed. if needed you will always find something on google play
Game center (by miui) - not needed
big S with china letters - dont even clicked on that , deleted at startup
Miui.us stats - i dont know what you are gathering but i think this could be optional
Miui user feedback app - not needed
Goomanager - can be installed separately
Miui.us toolbos - better to push it to the google play and make it optional to download or not because everyone use custom kernels and sometimes for example semaphore manager can conflict with it
DSP Manager - for me it is not needed coz i'm using poweramp for better music playback and its eq plays better in 100 times. optional
Miui.us app - we can download it via market too

i didnt mention other useless stuff by miui like compass and others. this is not vital
i think it is better to focus on fixes and better ui responsivness patches like supercharger v6) and better gps navigation and bettery life

I agree that the ROM is rather bloated, but a lot of that is MIUI, if you want a MIUI ROM you get what you're given as far as I'm concerned. You can bet if Brad removes some apps a bunch of people will complain that they used them (just see the hassle about the Devil kernel. It proves that people are lazy and don't want to do things for themselves (such as download a replacement app from the market)).

I do agree that things like supercharger would be nice built in, and GPs is still dismal, but I think that's a Galaxy S problem, not the ROM's. I get excellent battery life already so not too worried in that regard, but if Brad manages to improve it all the better!

I did notice that this release has gone back over 220MB after last week's 175MB, so not sure what happened there, but I find my phone runs pretty well regardless.

The only issue I ever get is when browsing, sometimes the phone lags horribly, but it isn't consistent so hard to work out the issue - possibly just low memory.
