Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release
Do you recommend moving to Semaphore 2.3.0?
can I use this app for the Devil kernel instead of the one which is in the Rom?

Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release
No I don't seem to have that issue man. But I had a issue were I would call or received a call and it was blank they couldn't here me I couldn't here them had to restart phone. I flashed semaphore 2.3.0s and haven't had an issue since. Don't know what the kernel had to do with it but everything seems fine now.

Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release
I personally think semaphore is better at the moment. Devil has its perks too tho. Download the semaphore app from xda and install for configurations.

Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release
hey brad, I seem to have and issue with the SD unmounting itself on its own, then I have to switch off and remove it and then place it back again. Then it comes back after booting. I dont know whether others have this problem too.
Also the wifi reception is pretty bad, I am thinking this is kernel issue. But I had the similar issues with Semaphore. The wifi reception was so much better during ics builds.

Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release
without 's' versions: for CM10 or ROMs without hugemem configuration, available RAM 378MB - 390MB
with 's' versions: for Slim Bean ROM or patched ROMs with hugemem configuration, available RAM 391MB - 404MB
i flash the 's' version but still have only have 365mb dont have big mem patch but doesnt make a difference if you dont enable big memory option.
Your better off without 's' versions as the big mem version breaks video recording
i dont seem to have this issue, it could be the kernel not sure im running semaphore tho. the sdcard issue is a new one havent had this problem yet. were you running a specific app when the problem started?
with wifi if you on semaphore need to open app and press menu key > manage packages > install addon tweak v3 (you download the packages on the same thread as were you get the semaphore_v0.75.apk Some features may not work due to they were made for gingerbread and ICS but semaphore is still very similar so the features i mention below will work.)
I downloaded all addon packages and install them.
once installed you will see in addon tweaks "network Tweak" enable that
enable radio FM
enable Smooth UI
governors SmartassV2
overclocking 1000 or 1100 any higher will drain battery and possible hot reboot.
features i enabled with all packages installed through semaphore app
all above
lock min scaling frequency (locks min frequency to 100MHz when GPU inactive) saves battery (need Addon UV v2)
schedulers- CFQ
Deep Idle & statistics
logger
Virtual/cache to 50 (need Addon Cache v1)
sdcard read ahead 1024kb-64kb
That is what im running pretty good batery and my wifi strength when at home is pretty good. Because i use the 's' version video recording is at fault i really need to stop using that version for we dont have bigmem lol.
Hope this healps not sure if all work like it should but got good battery strong signal and smooth phone.
only down fall is video recording but thats my doing with wrong kernel version.

Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release
not sure if there all compatible off top of my head i would say no. but i could be wrong. from my knowledge. But the modem doesnt do anything for wifi.
Wifi issues have been a known issue throughout jellybean releases not just this rom, try google its your friend
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1826931

Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release
i dont know who jeff or jess is but if you follow the installation instructions you should be fine
If you are flashing from a version without CM10 partition layout use this installation Guide
Place ROM zip file in your SD card
Boot into recovery
Create a backup
Factory reset device + cache partition
Install zip from SD card
At this point it will start then error, Install again
It will start then reboot, at this point will stick on Kernel screen (dont panic)
Reboot back to recovery with 3button combo
Repeat process (Install zip again)
Once complete repeat (Install once again)
Once complete Reboot and enjoy!
Now you are running MIUI.us JellyBean
The error on first install is because i had to remove the assert script from updater-script
The reboot on second install is just the new kernel installation it is rebooting to finish install with the new kernel.
the 2 installs at end is required du to the new partition layout, future releases will not need this. This process is only a 1 off coming from a different partition layout.
Have not tested coming from Gingerbread ROM or ICS ROM so make sure your already running JellyBean ROM to be safe.]
Stock Gingerbread does not have cm10 partition layout! so you must follow the correct installation procedure. Also if you read the installation procedure you would know not to flash this ROM on top of Gingerbread.
Gingerbread > ICS > Jellybean > This ROM
Or
Gingerbread > ICS > this ROM works as well, just follow the NON CM10 Installation procedureFollow me on twitter @heffsroms_it

Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release
what file size you have? did it download correctly? if your on a rom without partition layout you will get error status 7 on first flash. but other than that must be bad download i checked the uploads file sizes seem right. maybe try download again.
What server you both download from? goo.im or my server mirror?Follow me on twitter @heffsroms_it

Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release
Because once again there became many questions and issue regarding how to do this and how to do that. on a dev side of things devil and even semaphore are nightmare kernels to release with. Semaphore is a little more practical and easier to navigate the options for everyone. I would proffer to release with Mackay again but then i would have more questions like yours and complaints in pm.
most people dont know about having to enable settings for features to work, coming from nightly's and other JB or ICS roms with stock CM kernels were they never had to enable anything and everything just worked from the word go. i dont blame them its understandable.Follow me on twitter @heffsroms_it
