It is another file structure in devil, so it is likely not to work.
    Try Semaphore

    Re: MIUI.us JellyBean I9000 Release

devil has two versions of his JB kernel. one for his own rom (with /datadata partition) and other for the rest of JB rom. none of those should work?

that seemed to be a massive problem in ICS builds, i have the same problem on my other sgs, it wasnt till flashing jellybean that it was bought to my attention my imei was corrupt. i read somewhere that jellybean checks the imei on boot and thats why people think the rom corrupts there imei, in fact the imei was corrupted in earlier ics builds.
i found this post when i was searching for a fix few weeks ago on slimICS thread

for god's sake REMOVE in the installation instructions that you can use an ICS kernel like semaphore instead of CM9, it's bulls***. If you don't use CM9, you will corrupt your IMEI, and you will not even be able to restore it (even if you have the backup!).

Instead with CM9 it was a matter of a few minutes and everything was working fine!

just to let u know, use CM9!

This thread might be of some assistance to you recovering your imei http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1264021

Also a lot of people say flash stock firmware works too.

i cant pinpoint which rom did it to mine, my everyday sgs is the one that has corrupt imei but the sgs i use for testing is fine, and man i have flashed some shit on the testing phone. I ever flashed 1 ics rom on the testing phone (ICS333 2.0.1) then only andy's and my miui roms have been flashed on the testing phone since and imei is fine.
so i have ruled out our roms.
on my everyday phone i flashed a lot of random roms, ics / gingerbread so i dont know were or when it was corrupted.

Hope you get it restored man i got a second phone so never bothered attempting to restore.

i don't know about ICS rom messing up the imei. the fact is that everytime i flashed MIUI JB directly from GB my imei was corrupted. then i would have to flash GB via ODIN to fix it. many hours of this later i tried to flash MIUI ICS from GB and then MIUI JB. that did the trick.

btw, i understand why the latest semaphore kernel is incompatible, but why can't i use any version of devil kernel?

new cm10 for i9000 have hwcomposer/vsync patch that makes phone no boot with new kernels albertoguanti bought this to my intention i will be working it.
I will be sticking with Mackay kernel everything is enabled by default and no app is required, with other kernels results in people not enabling the option in the app and posting here that it doesnt work. makes it easier for me.

Brad, why do you reply only some of people? You reply who you like? It's not a good attitude towards your users. :-(

Its not intentional man dont mean to be rude i try to reply everyone most of the time the user already got there answer from someone else. and half the time the question is already answered.
If your referring to your tvout issue there is no point in me replying "i dont use it cant help there i can try changing a few things see if that helps" that doesnt really answer your question does it?
i think i have a pretty good attitude towards users. i have gone right out of my way to give people what they want. i could be just porting 1 rom but im making the us rom compatible for I9000B and also porting the German rom. every spare minute is spent trying to better the roms for what?. Half the shit im trying to fix i dont use. i could go back to porting for myself and work mates without the total headache constant force of having to explain myself.
your opening a can of worms that should remain shut dude.

None, you gain features. there are 2 releases because i was late on getting the toolbox update. so released without while i waited the toolbox update.

On earlier releases you would loose the magnify glass on text selecting havent actually looked if that is fixed yet.
