Hi, I am new on here, I'm on v2.7.23 and I have the following problem : I copied in folder Ringtones one mp3 , I set as ringtone but after a restart on the phone is no longer set to the song
How can I set the song.mp3 to remain forever set
sorry for my english

Not sure why that is happening, Try download Root Explorer (Flashable zip Found in update_me app under apps) and copy the tone to system/media/audio/ringtones folder should be displayed in the list of default ringtones. If it is not displayed try reboot, if still not displayed then you will need to convert the mp3 to .ogg and do as i suggested above. Convert here http://media.io/

@ everyone Thank you so much for the support guys appreciate it a lot. I ported the MIUI.com nexus S to see if the issues exist from the original ROM and no it doesnt seems to be only MIUI.us so im uploading the MIUI.com port i made for you all. Seems alot smoother and alot more responsive than the original miui.us roms ive ported. I used devil3 kernel, so flash your own kernel of your choice. everything seems to be working that i have looked at so far (Ignore the tripped out miui.com bootanimation) lol. Tell me what you think. Will post link when upload complete.
Little bug in permissions manager crash when opening root app have to manually allow permission, you will see the app in the log click and select allow.
Thought i would give you all something while you wait for me to find out why the hell im having so much trouble with miui.us ports.

I tried the method with the copy in system/media/audio/ringtones but file is with 0.00 kb (ich_will.mp3 5,30 mb)
i will to try convert to .ogg

I converted into .ogg, copied in system/media/audio/ringtones, set in the build prop ro.config.ringtone=Ramm.ogg reboot phone, set as ringtone but after reboot for test still not set

That is odd are you on the latest release? i just had a look in gallery and all images from external sdcard are listed and music from external sdcard is listed too. I dont know what needs to be fixed?
Does your external sdcard get listed on any other rom?
Can someone else confirm this issue as well please?

i have a similar problem external sd card isnt shown in the folder but in order to go to my external sd card i have to go up to root and then choose emmc. Hope this helps

also i realised that my fm radio doesnt work its not a major issue but is there anyway to fix this?

Not sure if you done this already but download spirit fm from playstore and use the instructions for configure it. Should work with current kernel. Or if your on Semaphore Kernel enable fm radio module in semaphore app then download spirit fm radio and use the instructions for configure it.

No external sd wont be shown in folder on sdcard but all files should be shown in catagory on miui file explorer, images should be displayed in gallery and music should be listed in music app.
To access the folder do like you said install root explorer and access through root/emmc. or just mount to pc.

Added settings for magnifying glass text selection (See Settings > Full Settings > Input settings)
Added support for text editor, long press text to display magnifying glass.

BTW i found an issue in .20 and 23, about the VPN connection. I can connect to VPN but unfortunately I can't disconnect it, i stop the DATA connection to get it disconnect, how about the latest rom ?
