I tried installing MIUI 2.6.8 from the official download page using Clockworkmod Touch Recovery, after attempting a clean install 5 times, each time the phone failed to boot.
However I tried using the version 2.6.8.1 from the forum http://forums.miui.us/showthread.php...eam-Sandwiched and it installed just fine.
The developer made this version compatible with their Hercules which is basically the same phone as the Skyrocket but for T-Mobile. I think the issue with the Official release of 2.6.8 is that it's not Touch Recovery compatible.
Just curious if anyone else has tried installing 2.6.8 and had it fail?
