HTC DHD can't go into ClockworkMod Recovery...

hi everyone!

new here on MIUI.

my DHD was on Gingerbread 2.3, build 2.37.707...

i was able to downgrade it back to Froyo 2.2, build 1.32.405...

then to install the 1.7.15 MIUI, i tried following the Guide in Flashing my ROM...

i was up to the ROM Manager step but my phone does not want to boot into Clockwork Mod Recovery... tried multiple times and used older Recovery versions but my phone just goes into the normal recovery mode with the Red Triangle and exclamation point.

when i press Volume Up then Power On, i get an error "Can't Open - E: /cache/recovery/download"

any ideas?

any help would be much appreciated.

can't wait to try the MIUI for myself!

update: okay, so i did a bit more research and read about one-click ENG-Off (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...855403&page=70). however, when i tried it, an error "Bootloader Corrupted, Do Not Reboot. Seek Help from XDA"

boo. this sucks.


update at 12:03 AM... so i decided to redo all the steps from the start. slowly but surely. got to the same step i was stuck in. but this time around, got stuck at the HTC white screen. decided to take out the battery (i know this was not the best thing to do, but i had no other choice). anyway, rebooted the device, started up as normal. decided to run ROM Manager again and boot into Recovery Mode... SUCCESS!!!! i don't know what i did. but i'm glad this dilemma is over.

Okay. i thought about the steps i followed in the downgrade tutorial, the only thing different i did when downgrading the second time was FORMAT my MicroSD to FAT32. the was the first step listed in the tutorial before you are able to make a goldcard. not sure if that's what made my second attempt work.

anyway, glad to be on MIUI. been enjoying the new features i never had with the stock GB ROM.
