XFinity tv player issues?

I installed the new Xfinity player app, but when I try to play a video it starts to play but the screen goes white. If I touch it during playback I can see some aspects that seem to indicate the player is there and playing, but just blanched out.

I'm on MIUI 5.12.2012, on a DX (of course). I've blocked it from root access, and allowed it, but I get the same thing each time.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm having the same issue with the Droid X2 running stock root on *2.35*, My wife has the same phone also rooted stock with *2.34* and the app works on her phone flawlessly.
