call recording

Hello,

When I set up my HTC EVO 4G, I turned on Call recording. It was on my screen and I toggled it on. Since the EVO only recorded 1 side, I changed out the Kernel and installed another app. Now its' recording both sides clearly. I've tried a dozen times to find the original rom based call recording toggle menu option and have not yet been able to find it. Does anyone know where you turn OFF call recording on the ICS rom?

What kernal you using....i am using alsa mixer on my gnex ... for recording calls but i would like to use mIUI built in call recorder ..... can you provide me some details about it

I'm getting read to write up a small tutorial on this. I tried the alsa mixer onmy evo but didn't get both sides of the recording. I've since switched to Callrecorder by skvalex on the market. Then download the lordmodUEV8 mode kernel (you'll have to search for it until I find all the sources).

Then setup Callrecorder and you are good to go. Perfect clarity on both the in and out side.

Im still tring to turn off the MIUI recorder as with this kernel i'm still only getting 1 side. No need to run it now.

Do you know how to turn it off?

Callrecorder has a demo but eventually you'll need to buy it. It's around US$10. I've used a number of recorders and this one is worth the $10.00. It's clean, seems bug free.

Does anyone know where you turn OFF call recording on the ICS rom?

Open the dialer>menu>settings>scroll down to "Call Settings" and uncheck the "Record automatically" box.

I'm interested in this lordmod kernel. I'll be checking back to see your updated info. I haven't had enough time to research ICS AOSP kernels.
