    [MOD] extended settings

    [MOD] extended settings
This is extended settings mod for miui 1.8.26
    ****IMPORTANT NOTE*****
After you installed the extended settings, you wont see any extra settings on you settings menu bar. Now it is an app called MIUI CONTROL.

I have tried this on my original droid 1 lol so Im just letting you guys know, it does really work.
CREDITS GO TO ANDY . PLEASE DONATE, THIS IS A TREMENDOUS MOD
    [MOD] Extended Settings Menu Options

If like me, you like a clean uncluttered look to your MIUI phone you might like this MOD.

sees a major update to this MOD. Alongside the options to enable you to Hide/Unhide the Status Bar Clock, the Battery Icon the Carrier and the Debugging Icon, you now have the option to specify your own custom carrier text and the date formats you'd like to see on the Notification Drop Down and the lockscreen.
So lets say you want the date to appear on the drop down as "Jul 16, 2011 10:21AM" but don't want a date to appear at all on the locksceen, you'd enter :-
MMM d, yyyy h:mma (as the Notification Format) and leave the lockscreen format blank.
**Please be aware that if you specify an invalid date format the status bar will FC. I only found this out this morning. I'll try to add error checking for the next realease** YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED )

As with all MODS there is no guarantee it'll work with all phones.(I only have a Galaxy S)
so please take a Nandroid backup before applying this.

    Hope you like it!!

    Install Instructions :-

Click the download link below and copy the downloaded file to your SDCARD. Reboot into recovery. Take a backup then flash the MOD.

If you find any bugs or have improvement suggestions just let me know.

but if you Turn Off Show Carrier OFF doesn't it result in an FC and the Battery NONE is not an option. Still good, but needs some improvements.

I'm sorry but I could understand you point of view. First of all. It doesn't result in a forceclose if turn carrier off. Secondly, the no batttery option is there by batterry settings (none). Probably you are doing something wrong

I havent been able to get this to work on my Incredible 2. I downloaded it twice with matching MD5's and flashed it twice over 1.7.15, no love.

You should see extra options in the Settings, Have a look at the date time options. If you don't see anything extra then you may have to manually mount system in recovery then flash again..

Flashed it twice, but unfortunately it's not working for me
    Running MIUI.us version 1.7.15 for Desire Z.
Too bad. I'd love to get rid of all that stuff in the statusbar.

Edit: I now tried to manually move the files with rootexplorer, set the right permission and NOW it's working. Why it ISN't working when flashing into recovery and trying to install the zip there, I have no idea...

Mounted system in recovery...bingo! It works.
So I decided to do the battery color mod the same way...bingo again! I'm on a roll...

So I thought. Its either no carrier, or colored battery. Evidently, I can't have both. Oh well. If someone has a clue to why I can't have both, great! If not...I'll just decide later which one I want.

Thank you for your help, and for the awesome mods!

Attempted the Root Explorer Method initially, got FC's right after replacing the files. Tried mounting system in recovery and flashing the zip, on reboot I have no more status bar, no notifications, no settings menu. Looks like we're waiting...

I did the mount system method and it worked flawlessly for me no problems what so ever. Hope everything works out for you and sorry to hear that it messed things up :/

Reflashed a fresh copy of 1.7.15, then mounted system, flashed the zip. Good to go. Must have been the root explorer method that screwed it up.

Is there a way to disable receiving the voicemail notification icon?
