    MIUI and Boot Manager

Is anyone else here using MIUI and Boot Manager? I have MIUI.us Defx Gingerbread 2012.3.23 running as my phone rom ( because it is stable ) and install the V4 builds in slots. Just curious if I am the only one,

I've tried but have had no luck. Currently, running the latest v4 and it seems pretty solid...only wish Netflix would work. May run v4 as my phone rom and load Defx as a slot rom so I can still use Netflix for now.

I have Defx as my phone rom and V4 in a slot. I also have a cm7 build and Bean's 2.2.10 build in a slot. All running smooth.

I have tried using V4 in slots and one minute it may work well, then the next, can't get back to phone rom. The last build to work good in a slot was the 2.4.6 build. Tried the next few newer ones and could not get them to work as well. I think the last one ( 2.4.27 B2 ) worked good ( loading it back now ) but the newest one 2.5.4 I am having trouble with.

The latest build 2.5.4 flashed but the gapps would not take for some reason in boot manager(I tried a few times with the same result). I used the miui file explorer and installed titanium backup from my sd card to get all my apps back. Then I just googled google play store apk and was able to download and install the app market. Thanks again Beans for all the great work.

Yeah, I ran into that with gapps. I have the Play Store apk from a link I found on Droidforum and install it thru the File Explorer. Then go to the store and download gmail, which is the only other google app I would need from gapps.

The latest 2.5.4 I have in slot 1 and can boot to it, but need to go thru CWR to get back to my phone rom (GB build). No bother for me, done it enouigh just used to it. At least I can run V4 whenever I want

Anyone have the new V4 build running as a slot rom? I have been trying and get stuck at the MIUI splash screen. Have to battery pull and use CWR to get back to phone rom.

Keep in mind, if you can get to bootmenu, just go to Fixes and select the option to fix the hijack-boot.zip. That'll get you back to your phone rom faster than going through cwr.

The fastest way to learn is by breaking it. The learning comes when you fix it again.

Thanks, never knew that. I usually pull the battery, restart and go to bootmenu, chose recovery, then CWR. Your way sounds a lot easier.

    Re: MIUI and Boot Manager

I was wondering. I am running Defx as phone rom and always trying V4 in a slot when the new builds come out. I think I may sbf my D2, put the V4 as phone rom ( 2.6.8 ) and add Defx in a slot. Comments?
