Think it's cause it's the "buildbot" build, I had a problem a few weeks ago till I got the 0XD34D build

Yeah, my fresh installation of the 2.7.6 and 2.7.13 both just stay on the boot screen and never boot into the OS. Thanks for making OXD34D aware of the issue.

For now I'll stick with my 2.6.29 installation, but look forward to updating. I'm taking this chance to reinstall 2.6.29 with the Firerat partitions setup. Hope it works!

This MIUI V4 does not get half the attention it deserves... It is already Tue and we have no word on what the issue is with the bootloop...

I just installed the new 2.7.13 update and i have to say it runs smooth as eggs. I was a tad bit skeptical about installing it because everyone kept talking about this "bootloop" problem. i did a FRESH installation, nandroid back up of 2.7.6 and this boy booted right up. Don't know what problem everyone else is having but mines works pretty decently . Thanks to whoever sent this out !

With peanutHEADo_O's success, I decided to flash this version. Full wipe/fresh install. I'm wondering if everyone's issue with the bootloop, or getting hung up on the MIUI.us splash screen is the same as what happened to me?

Phone was rebooting, on splash screen. A few minutes had passed and I was worried the same problem was happening. Then I noticed the "home, menu, back, & search" keys lit up. It had booted up properly, however was not displaying the lockscreen. Just place your finger on the screen as if it were there, and slide down to unlock. Everything is good from there.

Edit: The native backup app wouldn't restore the apps but it did restore my settings. I had to use Titanium to restore the apps first, then I restored settings (home screen & such) and everything is in its place.

What was broken with the Themes app before? I've only used it to assign ringtones, and that is working. Test a full theme swap or something?

2.7.13 clean install no bootloop issues but theme still not working

I've installed 2.7.13 as well running smoothly. The themes are 'kinda' working. As in I can use the theme app to download them and apply from the 'online' page, but if I try to apply the themes from the 'local' page, it fc's. Odd I know.

Some folks have tried using older versions of Theme Manager.apk. Only sure fire fix is a working build.

I up'd to 2.7.20 last night too, and see it too.

Well hopefully it gets fixed soon... Themes are the reason I use MIUI

If there's aren't working for you, set the permissions for /data/system/theme to 777 or read/write/execute for all users.

Has no effect. Still instant-crashes the Theme Manager app on selecting a theme.

Apparently, it is only specific devices that have borked theme management. Same release has working themes on one device and broken on another. The guys over on MIUIAndroid are stumped as to why and what is going on.

If you go back a few pages in the thread there's a dropbox link to Swiper's 2.2.21. Went back to it a couple weeks ago, but then I remembered why I made the jump to ICS. Got constant random reboots while using GPS, especially when music was playing. Not convenient when you're on the road. Back on v4 now.
