Removing rounded corners ...

Hello! I've just started using this ROM (2.3.7) and I must say I like it. However I dislike the rounded borders that one sees everywhere like in statusbar, top of app windows etc.

I managed to remove the rounded corners in the statusbar, by going to the actual framework apk in the ROM and replacing some .png's names round_corners 1-4 with empty transparent ones. It doesn't remove them in all the different "apps"/apks like SMS, Settings, gmail and so on...

So my question is ... Is there a way to completely remove the rounded corners? I think I read that its a feature in MIUI4 but that isn't something I would install a beta for.

Use a theme? You don't have to mod any apks with MIUI, just use the theme manager...

I use a big mix of themes. Been trying to edit the different parts of themes, like the mms apk but I just figured there was something "universal" that makes these edges, because even an app like Facebook has these borders.

The rounded corners aren't so much the apps, but the images around the apps. Try looking in framework-res -- MIUI v4 (ICS MIUI) has an option in Settings to check and uncheck to turn on/off "Rounded Corners"
