I got a question ...newbie question of course. I recently switched to miui latest version and I noticed there's a 3g bar and 1x bar is there a way I can take off 1x bar?

not one that has been found as of yet. With the icons the way they are, I'm not sure it would look right anyways.

Why is it that way now if you don't mind me asking?I remember back when I had my Droid x it used to be just 3g and not 1x at the bottom of it

It was a change that miui made about a month ago. No explanation was given.

I don't recall the option off the top of my head but there is an option to change it back to one bar. The 3g bar is data signal and the 1x bar is your phone signal. I have also noticed that mine automatically combine back to one bar when connected to 4g but separate back to two bars when I fall back to 3g.

I am new to MIUI. I am also using Nova Launched. Does that somehow disrupt the benefit of the ROM? Are there pros and coins to what I am doing, aside from the esthetic?
