The Nav bar removal is actually a very simple BuildProp edit done from any gNexus phone with root access.
    Needed
Root explore (or other explorer that has root powers)
Alternative button navigation ( I use button saviour pro you can choose you fav )
    Steps
Go to root Explorer and Navigate to your build prop file.
Be sure that root explorer is set to Read / Write access ( seen in the top of your app look for R/W or R/O )
Long press the file and select text editor
    Scroll to bottom of file
    Enter this qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
save file (if you are useing Root explorer it automatically saves a backup)
    Reboot phone and your done.
    No Nav bar on bottom.
Firstly let me say this was not my idea or find, I simply followed Brav1111's instructions over at RootzWiki. Furthermore mrx88336350 over at XDA is responsible for figuring it out and posting about the Mod: http://goo.gl/ck19v.

    Info:
This MOD will remove the SoftKeys from the bottom of the screen, therefore you will be able to use the whole screen for veiwing!
    Difficulty: Very Easy
    MOD Staus: Stable
    Requires Root: Yes
    Apply in: CWM Recovery

    Instructions:
    1. Install either Button Saviour (from Market) or LMT Launcher From XDA: http://goo.gl/qLEY3 or direct download v1.1 link. (personally I prefer LMT)
    a. Be sure to install one of the above before flashing the zip
    b. LMT Help - Install Apk
    c. Set Autostart TouchService to 1
    d. Set Mode to either 1 or 2 (1 is for gestures + pie, 2 is for just pie) Personally I use just pie
    e. If you would like to use Gestures, set them up in LMT
    f. Click Start/Stop TouchService to start app
    2. Make a Backup.
    3. Install one of the below Zips (match your current MIUI.us version) using CWR:

    MIUI.us_toro_2.3.23_4.0_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed_MagiFienX CMDA (tested)

This will wipe out any other mods you have applied to your framework-res.apk.

I will be updating this MOD weekly for myself, if there is enough interest shown here I will continue to update it for you guys/galz.

Hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Thanks...

This will work with standalone center clock mod, I am using both mods currently.

I love the idea of this. I hope this mod becomes very successful. I personally am using this now and loving it.

If I were to recommend anything, I would put a link that links directly to the download of LMT to save time, but otherwise very good job. Please do keep posting the updates!

I will check with noname81 over at XDA, if he gives me the ok then I will link the download for LMT.

Glad you are using and enjoying this mod.

Fair enough, everyone has their own personal preference.

    Appreciate any and all feedback.

If I can figure it out I would like to add the center clock mod to this mod...

I am unsure about the GSM part, but you have to use the app LMT to use the home commands. The softKeys are entirely removed.

It might work with GSM, make a nandroid backup and give it a try. As far as hiding and restoring buttons unsure about that I am not a dev, but IMO it would use up that screen space.

I like having the nav buttons. Why would I want to remove them? Lol

Ideally, you would be able to use a gesture to show/hide the buttons for more screen real-estate. This is the next best thing though

Yea, but Xiaomi has to put this in, we can't do that.
