inc s to inc 2 port?

Okay so I just had a few question regarding differences in the incredible 2 versus the incredible S.
I've tried to look at a couple forums regarding this, and in short all all i've learned is its possible.

To my understanding the phones contain the same hardware, with the major differences in some name patching (viwow versus vivo).

Can anyone affirm that this can be done? If so, how?

I just notice that the inc s is ahead of the inc 2 on the rom download page (speaking of which, when will nitsuj17's port be up?), and that on other sites (au, scottland, ect), the inc S is also ahead.

Right now i'm using nitsuj17's inc 2 port, (which is great!)- but i'm just curious about these other potential options/ect.

the inc s has no active ics miui development...on the download page its just a build.bot of the latest gb id guess

i was on vacation for 10 days and missed 2.4.6 and had issues with 2.4.13 and little time to fix it for posting

im working on 2.4.20 now and should be up by tuesday

in regards to differences between inc2 and inc s for porting...their not that much, mostly ril related
