Update?
Does anyone know if the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant will be getting anymore updates and when it wil get 4.0, because I read somewhere, some guy said it won't be. I'm not sure if that guy was right cause my phone didn't update, but they could just be behind, then again on miui.us website at the rom downloads the Vibrant says 0, but the Galaxy S has the latest update. Are the Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant the same, cause if so and if the Vibrant's not updating anymore, can I get the latest update through the Galaxy S one.

Re: Update?
On the changelog for MIUI 2.4.6
"Also worth noting: The HTC Nexus One, HTC Desire, Samsung T959 and i897 will no longer be getting updates each Friday."
and then someone asked
"Does that mean Samsung T959 won't be getting any more updates at all??
"
for which the reply was
"Yes, the Samsung Vibrant will no longer receive updates."

That SUCKS, I'm the one that wrote in asking for a timer/stopwatch and now I can't even have it since Vibrants can't update to 2.4.6. Does that mean those phones and Vibrant will not be updating until they get miui v4, or will they not get it at all? Also can I use the Galaxy S rom on the Vibrant or totally a bad idea?

I guess not, we're only a small subset of users anyway. I'm quite happy though, ROM is stable and faster than stock. I just wish we could at least have the updated interface with the cool dialers and call answering, if not ics.
I think neobuddy89 has a well rated working ics ROM for the vibrant you can try, one can either Google it and get it from xda, or from rom manager. I'll stick with this for a few more months before I get bored and try to break it again :-)
I think flashing a galaxy s ROM on a vibrant is a very bad idea, but I'm not all that experienced.
P.S: if you want a stopwatch, you can get a good one from the play store :-)

Re: Update?
I am very saddened that the vib won't get any more updates, I've been running miui for a long time and I don't want to go anywhere else, but I guess it's time to get a new phone. As farneobuddy, acre that dude, his roms are garbage

Re: Update?
I just got Passion ICS v 13.1 by Team Passion (www.team-passion.com) which includes neobuddy, and I find it incredible. Super snappy, fast and very stable. Clean to use compared to MIUI, really loving it! For those who like customizations, the Euphoria ROM is supposed to be very customizable, and the latest one released a few days ago is the Chimera ROM, based on AOKP, CM9 and CNA. I have not tried it but the reviews on the facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/icspassion/) are pretty good. If you want a stable near-vanilla ICS ROM, I strongly suggest Passion. It's very easy to flash from MIUI as well.
