USB not working with latest MIUI

Hi
I recently updated to the 2.3.16 version of MIUI on my samsung galaxy s. And now my phone refuses to get detected on my PC when i connect it through the USB cable
I have tried everything from turning USB debugging on and off again and on again.
I have tried mounting the sub storage from the recovery menu.
Nothing is working. When i connect the phone to my PC these are the error messages on the dmesg console


[ 6739.547069] usb 2-1.3: new low speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 18
[ 6739.619052] usb 2-1.3: device descriptor read/64, error -32
[ 6739.739062] hub 2-1:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 3


Please help, not having the ability to connect my phone to my PC is a HUGE HUGE problem.

i guess thats ur pc's usb problem try connecting to the back usb of ur cpu

Nope, not a PC problem. Tried connection my device to a host of pc's (linux and windows) with a host of usb cables. Still no luck.
Apparently a lot of ppl are having the same problem but there is no solution yet.
