any chance anyone might be working on this. i tried an experimental build but i was just curious as to if anyone would be supporting it for the Shift. I have no dev experience or otherwise I would try and get it working but I am a flashaholic and am willing to test out any builds a dev can come up with.

I'm guessing you're talking about the MIUIv4 I posted on XDA as its the only v4 I've seen for the shift. I have made a few more ports since then but they are just too buggy right now. With MIUI v4 being beta and Decks ICS(the most stable) being pre-beta, I'm going to wait a while longer before I try to port it anymore myself.
