Just delete .zip and put .mtz lol

There isn't a .zip at end i tried putting .mtz at end but it still a zip file

Do it in WinRAR or whatever program you use to compress it. WinRAR has buttons for .rar and .zip, I press .zip and then change it to .mtz in the name before I compress it. If you do it when it's already compressed, it won't work.

I'm not getting the new theme format to work correctly. I took an old theme that I use (a mix of stuff that I like) and I tried to convert it but the only changes I get re the icons, wallpaper and boot animation. I thought I was following the instructions on page 1 but I am obviously not. Does anyone know of a guide that has step by step instructions (like an Idiots Guide to MIUI Theming)?\


If anyone who knows what they are doing has a second or two could you look at what I did and tell me what I might be doing incorrectly? The file is here. Thanks.

Weird, everything looks right. .

Maybe on the "uiversion" in the description.xml try deleting the spaces between the 1?

for people having trouble creating new formwartmtz use this java application from original miui.com forum.

just rename the the file to jar and run with JRE app is still in chinese but very straightforward. will post translated version when i get some free time from work

I get an error trying to unpack some themes. It tells me it's an "unsupprorted packing method".
Anything i can do to fix it? It seems when you apply on old theme in the old format and it converts it, if you then try to edit it and unpack, this error comes up...??

If it's .mtz try renaming it to .zip
or
if it doesn't have an extension at all, try adding a .zip

Yes, did that. It's a theme converted on the phone. Pulled to PC for editing, the folder names are without the .zip extension, but no matter what i do, 7zip tells me the error i mentioned :O

H'm. I'm sorry, but I don't think I can provide much help on that, don't use Windows or 7zip.
Maybe try winrar?

Anyone on Windows, if you know a fix or what's going on, please help him out (:
