I'm having a devil of a time getting this working

Here's what my install process is like:

* Use RSDLite to flash the stock 2.3.20 rom
* Root via One Click Root (http://www.androidauthority.com/droi...ecovery-69699/)
* Install D2 Recovery Bootstrap via Market
* Reboot into CWM Recovery
* Factory reset, wipe dalvik cache
* Install Rom
* Install GApps

Leads to my D2 being stuck on the motorola logo - (Tried waiting 2+ hours, didn't move). Something else breaks too, since after I do the MIUI flash, i can no longer access CWM recovery. I can get into the boot menu by hitting voldown when the blue light comes on during boot, but I can't do anything from there.. if I do CWM Recovery in that menu, it simply reboots to a black screen. Tried doing Fix Recovery under tools, also did nothing.

Any ideas?

I am having the same issues. I have asked the folks over at XDA to assist me with this as well. I hope to get an answer soon.

Have you tried to XDA's instructions on Droid 2 Recovery (in the case you brick your phone)?

First let me say I love this rom

now, is there anyway to get an app like sms popup to work with it ? i use personalized notifications for a few people(mainly the wife) and wouold real like to be able to set that up on this phone. I have allowed the app when i get the permissions popup, and when i test the app thru its test notification option it works...but when it comes down to the real thing i get zero notifications, I turned off notification thru the messaging app(as you would in a regular rom). Any ideas or suggestions on an app that does work with MIUI ? I really wanna stay away from apps like GoSMS as I like MIUI's native messaging app

I'm not too sure why, but the backlight via keyboard isn't working. I remember the old GB build, which had the advanced settings. But this one doesn't have it. Is there a fix, via zip to flash or anything manual that I can do? Thank you - fkngftd

Seems I can't start a new thread on the Q&A, so I will ask here. I am running this build and use my cell at work sometimes to check customers BT pairing in their cars. Any way, I have 3 BT devices now in my settings and can't figure out how to remove them from my D2. Any ideas?

您好，我是中国的droid2用户，本想只是体验一下miuiv4的，所以下载下来看一下，发现竟然内置中 文（挂到国内的miui网站上就好了），刷上去以后自己钻研解决写号和挂em问题，各种教程均失败，自己折 腾了一天，终于挂上了em，发现有这样几个问题：1，屏幕亮度自动调节开启后亮度很大，自己试验了一下在暗 的和亮的环境下均不变化，貌似是失灵（我刷回机锋网言文的移植版1.10.11是正常的）。
2，界面不流畅，我把进程杀光，后，未装任何程序情况下，滑动主界面不如2.3时跟手，有延迟，并且有类似 漂移情况出现。
3，相机开始是好的，过一段时间就会崩溃无法使用。
4，键盘灯是不亮的，在2.3时代有自己调阀值，现在没了，期待改回来。
5，主题库内的主题无法使用，改不了主题，不配套。
