So.. I've been using this rom for quite some time now, but each update lately makes my battery life worse and worse. I am currently running the 6/29-B2, and with a full charge, I can use my phone unplugged for maybe 10-15 minutes, and then it dies. I even did a factory reset/wipe and reinstall, but somehow the battery life is ridiculous still. Idk if this is common with anyone else, or if something besides the display is burning up my juice, but is there a way to fix this or should I just switch to a different rom until this one gets out of the beta stage? I was running MIUI before this, can't remember which one, but does anyone have a reccomendation for an alternative to this if that's the only fix ATM? I tried the CM9 as well, before they got the camera working, but I don't see that as being too much different than this.

I would say maybe its time for a new battery. Do you have sync turned off? That was killing my battery.

that's not at all normal. how did you install it?

my first guess would be to sbf and start with a new download. if your hesitant to do that, at least redownload and then install clean (factory reset and a system format). try not putting any extra apps on and see what happens. if it's working better, start putting apps back without restoring their data. you may be able to pinpoint a bad app or whatever the issue is by doing that.

Well, it's been progressively worse with each update. I already tried redownloading and reinstalling thru CWM with a factory reset instead of just the cache wipe, ran the battery calibrator thru the toolbox I believe, and its still jumping from 99 to 50 to dead within 10 minutes of use, on average. I didn't try to turn the sync off yet, I can try that, but I have a feeling that won't solve it. I've noticed that some apps freeze or FC on me, so maybe it's an app like you said? Generally I use Titanium to restore my apps+data when I go to the new update if need be, perhaps I should just reinstall each app manually? Something isn't right somewhere lol. I know on the other MIUI I could go 2 days without a charge on average, and with this version I started out with maybe 10 hours of use per charge, mainly using it for music. But each new update shortens my battery life up to where I don't even bother using it if it's not on the charger.

I then backup my theme using the MIUI interface, backup apps using Titanium, reboot to CWM, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, install the rom, install gapps, and reboot. But since I've got battery issues currently, I went thru all those steps again, and instead of wiping cache/dalvik I did the factory reset option. Still the same issues, and a lengthy process of restoring apps, accounts, moving shortcuts, etc.

huh, that's pretty weird. did it drain like that even with a factory reset, install, and not restoring or installing anything?

Actually I usually restore everything right away. I may try to just install the bare minimum and see how it performs, if it's an app causing the drain like was mentioned. Checking the battery status shows the display being like 80% of the drain tho, even when I adjust the brightness manually to the bare minimum. Something is screwy somewhere, and I am loving the rom otherwise so I'd rather not go back to another one lol.

Love this rom but without tethering or tethering even being a priority I'm out. Back to gingerbread rom for me.

Does anyone's panorama photo work? Mine sits at capturing panorama but it never gets passed that. Sometimes it will save a picture to the gallery that is all static and green background. Tried pics camera from playstore with same result.

Same here. Mine worked one time though.

My panorama works, with occasional glitches. Battery lasting ~7+ hrs with moderate use. Running v6 supercharger successfully without using wraithdu's superuser binary fix.

Biggest issue is it's occasional glitches/freezes ending up in necessary reboot.
minor frustration is the added "+" to the number when calling a business through Google voice/search treating it as an international call. :-(

Themes don't seem to work at all, but everything else is nice and snappy now, I haven't tried panorama yet

Themes are definitely not working at all. I flashed this upon getting my new 32gb SD card to have a fresh start on everything. I tried doing themes and went through 55% battery scratching my head why it wouldn't work and finally gave up. Was about to come here and re-flash but apparently I'm not the only one having issues. Hopefully it gets fixed next release! I'll be going back to 6.21 for now though. ( I always do 2 week flashes)

PS. aLogcat is force closing and Toolbox is very slowish and made my phone auto restart once. Never had either of them problems

So glad to see that I am not the only one suffering from battery issues here. I have an extended battery (2600mah Seidio) and it drains me completely in no time flat.I used to get up to 20 hours of moderate use on a single charge on stock, now I get maybe 8 of moderate use. I wipe stats and everything, but no matter what I do, nothing helps. It claims the display is what is eating up my battery, but even with brightness all the way down, nothing changes.

If you are on 2.6.29 and do a flash of 2.7.6 with only cache and dalvik wipes and not system or data, the themes work. I read that over on RootzWiki and I can confirm that it works.

Even with only wiping cache and dalvik coming from 2.6.29, themes are only partly working, only a few things I noticed that dont change with themes
