I am getting an error when I use RZR to wipe. It says it cannot mount /data. Sure enough, trying to flash after that put me back to SBF square one. (I tried it despite the error message because at completion the message said all was wiped and only RZR remained.) Not terrible, but a bit of a pain in the neck. CWM is able to wipe /data, so I can use that, and flashed this successfully. But damn it, I like RZR...

Any ideas what might be going on, or how to fix it?

i always use cwm, but you shoulda done a data/system/cache/dalvik wipe before installing. i would sbf for a fresh start

rzr is nice but on dx,d2 ive noticed it doesnt wipe data :/

having an issue with Google Voice? I am not getting notifications unless I open the application. I also ensured that all notifications are allowed on the status bar.
This was not happening on the previous version.

Thanks Brandon, apparently when rzr recovery says that it failed to wipe data I should believe it. Everything else wiped fine so I pulled the batt and booted into stock recovery, did factory reset and restarted. Now I have this wonderful new ROM to play with. I think I got lucky not to have to sbf.

I've noticed that in the last couple weeks its been real hit or miss with downloading roms. not sure if its the goo system or what, but its been hell trying to get them with the phone and a computer. but other than that its another greatly developed rom.

Good morning! This ROM has been awesome so far in terms or snappiness and getting the ICS feel on the Droid X. I just installed it yesterday so I'm still in the tinkering stage but wanted to point out some nuisances I've come across:

Themes that are supposed to change color of notification window and settings pages don't change it.
Most themes' lockscreens have asian writing on them.
Using torch at the lockscreen requires holding down the home button (does not stay on if released).
Cannot find a way to customize status bar text (who wants to see Verizon Wireless all day?).
I am using a pattern lockscreen and it locks well before my set time which is currently 2 minutes.
In Settings, clicking Storage force closes every time.
In Updater, clicking current ROM force closes every time.
Adding Facebook account in Accounts and Sync seems to do nothing (meaning I cannot pull facebook contacts into my contacts list).
Dialing *228 gives no way to bring up keypad (cannot press option 1 or 2).
Could someone explain why it comes with two torches? (just curious)
Kinda weird that lockscreen wallpaper and pattern screen wallpaper are different (not at all a big deal but strange).
My biggest issue of all... I cannot connect to 802.1x wireless networks! Only WPA2 and open networks are working for me. This one is a deal breaker if I cannot get it figured out as my work wireless is 802.1x.

Thanks guys for any help you can provide! Sorry it sounds like a lot of complaining but this really is looking to be my favorite ROM yet if some of these kinks get addressed.

Great ROM- my initial questions/suggestions-

*Scrolling widgets like gmail and email are too sensitive; when I swipe up or down, the widget thinks i want to re-size it or move it around. Any way to adjust the sensitivity on widgets to avoid this?
*When I had the latest CM9 ROM on my phone, the ringtone and notification volumes were separate; it was nice to create a profile where I could silence notifications and leave the ringtone higher.
*Any way to remove carrier from status bar?

I have been running this ROM for almost 24 hours and while I haven't encountered many force closes, there are a few things I'm noticing in regards to errors/nitpicking.

One of my first problems was actually force closing on some apps. I restore my apps from a MIUI backup I did just before flashing over, and they all installed properly, but some of them kept force closing. Just uninstall/reinstall from Play Store and you'll be fine.

- There's something glitchy with the notification bar. My theme won't change it, and when I'm doing certain activities, there's weird pixelated flickering across the bar. It happens mostly when I interact with the message popup and when the memory loads in the Recent Apps window. As the memory bar is going from left to right, so is the glitch. The same type of glitch is also seen when I scroll up and down in the Recent Apps.
- The touch screens isn't as sensitive as it was on older versions when swiping through screens. I catch myself having to swipe multiple times when trying to go to the next screen. I don't think I changed how I swipe over night, so I'm assuming it's the ROM?
- Not sure what is causing this, but there is an icon in the notification bar whenever my Smart Keyboard is being used. Whether it's messaging, the browser, etc. the icon stays up until I close the keyboard. That was never there before and there isn't an option for a notification icon in the keyboard settings. I already went through the status bar settings and nothing has fixed it.

Also, just some nitpicks, the lack of individual volumes for the sounds bothers. And is there any way we can get the new MIUI camera UI? I saw a post on the homepage before, but maybe it isn't finished? I just think the ICS camera UI is awful.

Thanks for all the hard work though. I'm using this as my standard ROM now. Looking forward to any new features!

Anyone having battery life issues?

It seems that after about 6 hours my phone is dead with very little use.
The battery usage will show ~40% for Android OS and ~30% Phone Idle usage.
I've checked the battery usage throughout the day and typically these values are very low, at least until around 5-6 hours of the phone being on battery. Then it seems as if they just jump up and kill the phone.

My typical usage is very light. For example, today I used it for some "on the pot" web browsing; so maybe 5 minutes max, and one phone call for a few minutes. Then it just sat on my desk; I'm not using it and it's not getting blown up with txt msgs or anything. I just heard the battery low warning and had to plug it in. It's been on for 7 hours today and it's dead.

I'm at 30% for around 12 hours of minimal use. I had a phone call that I didn't answer, checked the voicemail, multiple texts, some browsing, some customizing, lots of menu exploring. Phone idle is 39%, Screen 33%, and System is 9%.

only issues im really having is the lockscreen and messaging app (having asian type characters)
the storage force close in settings reported previously
and google talk on occasion force closes.

also, and im not sure how i'd better report it, but there are articats in apps like Aldiko when pulling up menu..

Thanks for the info blux. I'll have to investigate this a little more. My reception in my office is pretty thin..I wonder if that high System usage is it trying to connect to a tower?

I am having the same issue with the themes not changing the notification window, although I do love the new stock for MIUI.
I have always had that issue with the home button torch, not sure if you have to touch the torch on the screen too in order to make it work, although nothing of the sort seems to work.
Same problem with storage force closing too.
I'm pretty sure the update isn't fully up and running yet (it was somewhere in the original post).
Haven't tried the syncing issue with facebook but given the fact that all of the other problems you are having I am having too I would assume it is the same.

I CANNOT STAND the ICS camera at the moment. Can anyone else access the sound settings? I checked every menu and I cannot seem to find it. And as well I can't change the picture size it just says <5MP and there's no option to change it. Any way to get the camera from B11 back? ... and possibly the gallery? I don't want to have to go through an extra menu to get to the gallery to delete an image. There's no option for longpress on an image preview to delete it right away.

ALSO, HUGE ISSUE is what you said, 802.1x won't connect and that's the only thing offered on campus, works find with WPA2 at home but... that's almost kinda pointless now isn't it?

Other than that definitely leaps forward; headed in the right direction for sure. Looking forward to any updates!

For anybody with 802.1x issues. Try Blackadept's wifi fix below and let us know if it works. If you would rather have it scripted for you let me know. I've already got one built as part of the DefX Miui build that I can separate out as a flash.

When I first installed 4.0 it was great but after awhile it became really slow and almost nonfunctional. my facebook will not allow me to press any notifications, when i first open up my browser my screen turns really bright and then after a few I get the browser, scrolling is slow and sometime unresponsive, and when they screen is locked the notification bar cannot be flicked down... you have to hold onto it the whole way down or else it will go back up... I'm I the only person experiencing this? If so then Ii will re-install the OS but if its common is there a way to fix it? I already cleared the cache.
