Anyone else having issues getting MIUI settings to work? Followed instructions to a T and each time I reboot I can't get past the MIUI.us boot screen. It just sits there.

I'm getting horrible battery life with 2.5.4. It was not like this with 2.4.20. I've had sync off. Is there a way to re-enable the governor that was used with 2.4.20?

I have to agree that we seem to have moved backwards with 2.5.4. I'm having a lot more issues with both the battery, freezes\reboots, and the browser working horribly. Hopefully some of these things are being sorted out.
One thing that has really been bugging me is in the wi-fi settings. It no longer displays the saved but out-of-range networks. Wi-Fi just seems more flaky overall.

@ hasek & slicnic You are both in the minority with your problems, other than try (re-try) a clean install I am not experiencing any of your problems and if you read the threads, others are not as well, so Good Luck.

if you read the thread, you'll see short battery life is very well documented.

I usually use this version of MIUI and I was really enjoy using it. But yesterday I made up my mind to try wizard version and yes, it consumes less power so the battery stay longer. Then I decide to look into its cpu config and there maybe the answers! Wizard version is undervolted with 24-35-45-55 vsel. It's lower than our version

@taktampan I run my X @ 22-32-42-62 and OC to 1200. Each X seems to have it's own requirements and not all can run reliably and at these settings and one has to adjust accordingly.

Ive been noticing more artifacts with this build, and it always seems to freeze when i remove it from car dock. other than that, no real complaints. i'm still getting great battery life, but then again, i only use my for texting and downloading. glad to see this rom still running strong, makes me feel good about owning what is considered "outdated" technology.

@standroid b00stedass gov currently, was using smartass also with good results, b00stedass is supposed to be a little more agressive and for what I do very good battery life. Nothing is the same day to day.
If you run yours at the #'s I mentioned, be aware that you may have to raise them 1 vsel at a time if having problems. Others I have read are much more aggresive with their voltage/OC settings and have reliably gotten away with it.

Mine did fine under those same vsel values.
But battery life isn't very good.

I have missunderstood about this MIUI version. Before using this release I installed MIUI with lowest vsel of 33. But yesterday i checked at bootmenu and lowest vsel of this release is 21 vsel. It's lower than wizard's version. But I think if we were trying to undervolt it again we should very careful. Never using bootmenu config for CPU if you want to try undervolting with various value, use overclock software instead. Because I have already tried undervolting through that bootmenu. My phone was still stable at lowest vsel of 15, and when I decreased that value again my phone won't boot completely, always reboot. I sbf-ed it then

I really don't understand about this difference of vsel value. In bootmenu I set it 24-35-45-55 vsel but when I install Quickclock Advanced this app read my vsel config as 29-45-55-65 vsel. What was that?! That is really battery sucker. Now I undervolt it using Quickclock, I will report it later
