Used TB first. (I know, I know! lol) Then re-wiped and used MIUI backup and same thing.

I went to bed last night w/ 95% battery or so, and woke up at 80% exactly. I'd sat that's pretty darn good! If you have a lot of apps installed it can eat battery too, don't forget.

Overclocking seems a bit much as fragile as this build is it's good you tested it out. if i turn the light on the camera and take a pic it shuts down phone.

Can you give some more info on this? Does this negatively impact performance?
You might take a hit on your phone signal, but for me 3G seems to be relatively the same. I wasn't recommending going that low as all phones are different. It's just what works for me and allows me to get a full day out of my phone before I have to recharge it. I suggest going down 2 notches then rebooting and watching your battery. Then if it's ok then go back down 2 more and reboot. If you get a bootloop, pull battery, volume down on blue LED and change it back up by 1 to see if that fixes your problem. If not then it's probably what you had it at before that's most stable. Also, using SetCpu to scale it down helps. But I only use it when I really need to conserve battery.

I'm having troubles with the ROM, even on fresh install after SBF. I wipe data and cache, then format and mount the system and install rom and Gapps. And I still get FC's for system apps (phone, MIUI home) MIUI 2.4.27. Help anyone?

Are you doing a restore of anything after the install? Try doing an install and not restoring anything in system. I have problems if I restore any system settings from a previous build. I only restore apps.

    Re: (Official)(4.04) (MIUI.us V4 2.4.27 04/27/2012) Working BootMenu/Camcorde/Beats A

Well first things first great rom, loving all the work you've done it's working great other than one thing

My battery life has been pretty bad, last one of Wiz's releases I was running it was great at first then tapered off which might be app's installed or something along those lines since I'd been running it for a few months. So I figured it was time to toss a new version on(I didn't notice releases were moved to Development or I would have done it sooner). Well after boot looping my X, I SBF'd back to 602 then re-installed which went fine. After installing some of my normal day to day apps and getting things running my battery is lasting around 6-7 hours, and I'm using the phone allot so that's not too bad compared to normal for me. I'd say I was getting 8-9 maybe a little more before updating, so I'm wondering if there are some ways to improve it. I ran Juice Defender today but I really don't like the way it works and it didn't really help any for battery life so I removed it. Temporarily I tossed my 3500mah battery back in so at least I can get a little longer life out of it, but I really prefer the slim size of the stock battery and the ability to use my Defender case, so I'd like to get back to stock battery if possible.

Someone mentioned turning off "Sync" and I wanted to verify that you were talking about email/google sync, if so are you manually checking for new email? I guess I've never really tried to change that since I'm a pretty heavy email user for my business and personal accounts. But basically any tweaks or settings that I can try to see if they improve things would be appreciated. I understand this is very much a work in progress as always and I love MIUI, just would like to somehow get closer to a full day without needing to charge Right now it's not terrible since I can charge while at work, but when I'm out and about I pretty much run the battery into the ground before I even notice it's low.

Thanks again for all your work!

    Luke

EDIT: I forgot to mention I did reset battery stat's once I was fully charged and let it run down fully several times after full charge to get things back in order. I'm considering picking up a new OEM battery to see if it makes much difference, could be the battery I guess, but just would like to try a few things software wise first if possible.

Anyone know if there is a mod / setting to add the ICS software button bar to the bottom of the screen? I ask because my menu button is shot. I have been using the Button Savior app as a workaround, but it's kind of a pain.

RootzWiki links to a mod which does this very nicely on EncounterICS, which I used until yesterday. Any idea if it will work here on MIUI? Someone on that thread suggested no, but wasn't sure.

    Thanks very much!

Thanks for the great work beans. Since updating to b2 I am getting authentication failed trying to connect to my wifi. Logcat shows WPA: 4-Way Handshake failed - pre-shared key may be incorrect. Other android devices are working, just not the droid x & it was working on MIUI.us_Shadow_2.4.27_4.0_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed_Bean sTown106.zip.

edit: went back to plain 2.4.27_4.0 and it's fine. I wonder what files I can copy from the old build to make the new build work because I want to try the new power management.

I have a couple apps force closing even on a fresh install; Waze and Opera Mobile. Anyone know how to fix that?

Opera mobile is pulling a black screen for me, so I'm running mini at the moment but hoping it's something up with opera.

So, Extended Settings works now? Why is it not included? Where can I get it?

    Thanks.
You have to install another launcher if you want an app drawer, MIUI just puts icon on the screens like Apple IOS does.
