Hey guys been using this rom a bit and my first all around post. My issue with this release is that i have downloaded it twice and it brings up the error "Unfortunately Package Installer Has Failed" i checked the hash twice on the rom and it's lined up and everything seems to be there what is making my package installer not work?

I'm also experiencing this. Seen couple other people on other forums have same issue, have tried everything to resolve, no go for me. Previous version worked fine.

How did you download? Are you installing from CWM or rom manager?

Are you formatting System, Data, Cache, and Dalvik Cache per the instructions on the first page?

The last few months I've found it easiest to download roms right on the phone and install through CWM. The only time I've hooked it to a PC is to transfer photos to my drive.

Btw, 2.4.13 has helped my battery some. Still no GB for battery but much improved

Just flash it like any other ROM, bro. If you're not satisfied with MIUI V4 try AOKP.

I wiped the data/factory reset like always and wiped the cache twice to be thorough and the dalvik twice and then i flashed the rom. i repeated this process twice and each time i re-downloaded miui to make sure nothing was corrupted. i still haven't figured out why "Package Installer Has Stopped"

Did anyone else lose status bar notifications at the lock screen? I'm having to unlock to see what kind of notifications are waiting. Thanks.

I experienced some strange activity this morning. I went to plug in my phone and after I plugged it in my phone started bootlooping. After a while I changed chargers and my phone finally made it past the M but it then went to a screen with the ICS logo and a progress bar with an "optimizing applications" caption. Was there some sort of auto update that I didn't know about?

I experienced this when installing unsigned/unknown packages... however, it appears the apps installed anyways.

I randomly get these messages after closing an app. Though, the app does not crash. Maybe a bug in closing apps?

I noticed it does install the app nonetheless which i don't mind but i'd really love to recover the app i have and the data with it from Titanium but it fails that installation thus not installing the app or letting me recover the data

Anyone else notice that screenshot functionality seems to have vanished from this build? Hopefully it comes back in the next one. Can anyone recommend a good one from the Play Store in the meantime? I see a ton of them and its a bit overwhelming.

Screenshot functionality is still there in this build. Hold menu + volume down button. Same as it ever was.

Does anyone know of a mod that will keep the lock screen lit up when music is playing?

Also, just realized that the theme_values.XML works now. Well except for that the signal bars still show. Woohoo!

I found a way to get my data back in the least.
1. Downloaded all my apps through the marketplace.
2. I Use titanium
3. Simply clicked on restore in titanium on the app i wanted and it brought back my information.

It's a workaround for me atleast until a new version comes out hope this can be helpful to anyone else. it may also work with other app+data backup applications like Titanium.

I actually just found the button in the menu as well. It is a picture of a phone with a camera in front of it, on mine it is one spot to the left of the airplane mode button (I use the horizontal-scrolling menu in the notification window). But the hard keys work too.
