How to get MIUI for Desire HD to show up as Inspire4G

Hi all, recent buyer of Inspire4G , installed the Desire HD MIUI ROM, but there are some apps in the MArket that are not compatible with Desire and require Inspire. But since the phone now shows up as Desire, it does not let me download them.

Is there a way to "trick" the phone into thinking it is still an Inspire so I can access these apps (namely the FiOS Mobile Remote).

Check out post market problem. I was having similar issues and I changed my fingerprint in build.prop and it fixed mine and I also made sure the app you was looking to install worked and it did I installed it just fine. Again its post market problem. Sorry on my inspire other wise I would give you a link hope this helps.

There is a fix in a flashable zip form that changes your device info back to an Inspire. I will look for it and post a link for you.

If you flash this Inspire mod, The phone will turn into Inspire 4G and the GPS is not working anymore.

The Inspire Mod is only used for CM not for our aospX kernel, I think.

So the In-call volume is still only 60% against a normal Inspire 4G.

What can we do to this case?

I'm not having big issues with GPS. I use blind's lastest MIUI.us builds for Desire HD/Inspire. I flash the ROM followed by Inspiremod while in recovery. Once my phone is finished booting, I run GPS Status (free from Play Store) and let it run until it gets a couple of locks.

Blind confirmed it's fine to use, and I use it every time, as we as some other users.
