Sorry, been real busy lately. Haven't had much time to check the forums.

3G signal bars are unlikely to be fixed any time in the near future. The reason is that some major code rewriting is needed in order to fix the 3G signal bars, which I don't have the skills to do at the moment. I am still actively researching and will try new ideas to fix the signal bars, but it may not be fixed for a while.

From my understanding, Adobe has stopped supporting the flash player on android devices and have removed flash from the Play Store. The only way to get it back is if you happen to have a back up.

Is the updater fixed? I noticed that in 2.8.10 that the updater doesn't work and it force closes.

Negative... Updater app was removed from 2.8.31 due to the force close issue.

Re: [ROM] Official MIUI v4.1 Jelly Bean

My understanding of JB was that calls & notifications once again had separate volume settings. This doesn't seem to be the case in 2.8.31.

Also, it doesn't seem to be allowing me to use all my onboard storage. The Fassy has 2GB built-in, but it is only allowing me to use 500MB for apps. I had to move quite a few apps to my SD card, but still didn't have enough room to install all my normal apps.

Lastly, GPS has my location off anywhere from 10-50ft. I do a fair amount of geocaching so that's a big deal for me.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I'm not aware of any changes to the calls & notification settings in JB. Maybe its a feature they're working on.

CM10's partitions are different than ICS. The data partition is only 500MB, so you can only store upto 500MB on the internal storage.

I'll look into GPS and see if I can get that working better.

I haven't gotten any other reports of this. Try clearing the Messaging app's cache. If that doesn't work, clear its data. See if that helps.

I get this as well ("Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped.") and it kills me, as i send and receive texts a lot.
It also happens if i try to open a text notification from my lock screen.

If it helps, I'm on the latest build as of now (2.9.7, i might try the other build on the download page, just to see if it works.) , fresh install (Have tried re-flashing but with same results.) and have cleared my messaging cache and data in the app settings with no avail.

Hope i can get this going, just switched from AOKP and I'm liking it so far, minus the small bugs here and there.

One last thing, as my carrier is Cricket Wireless, and im using a Verizon Fascinate, is it possible to make an alternative carrier data (3G) fix? I'm assuming the one i flashed for ICS wont work and I'm too busy to make a nandroid to test something i feel might fail. I can link you to the fix i have, maybe you could port it over, I'm not sure how difficult it would be but it sure would make some people happy being able to use 3G. If there's already a data fix i cant find it, so if there is one a link would e appreciated greatly

    Peace

Try flashing 2.9.21. Haven't had any reports of this happening on 2.9.21 yet. If you still have this issue after updating, get me a logcat and I'll look into it further.

Link me to the fix and I'll see if I can make it work.

Re: [ROM] Official MIUI v4.1 Jelly Bean

I tried flashing 2.9.21 last night and when i booted and went to unlock my screen MiuiHome would close every single time, i could still slide to messaging and the others from the lock screen but if i tried to go to the home screen this would happen. Ill try re-flashing soon, it might've just been a bad flash, ill post back with results as soon as i have them.

    And here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35094636/Data_fix_ICS.zip
This fixes 3G data on my Fascinate on Cricket Wireless when flashed in recovery (And other carriers too i believe.)

Also, can you recommend me a kernel (if there is one out and working) for this rom? I tried IcyGlitch v14 B6 because someone recommended it on another forum and my phone went through hell, i couldn't even charge it because it kept going through a boot loop, i had to use ADB to get to recovery and flash my rom again.

EDIT: Flashed 2.9.21 again and it seems to be working much better now. Still doing a little testing though.

Can you PM me if/when you get the data fix ready to be tested by the way?

Re: [ROM] Official MIUI v4.1 Jelly Bean

So I just flashed 2.9.21 and I already see problems. (I was coming over from a CM10 Nightly. I made sure to wipe everything before flashing)

When I click MIUI.us Toolbox, it stops working. "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped."

Also when I try to apply a theme, it finishes very quickly and it says it's applied but when I back out to the home screen, it's not applied.

I had the same problems, I'm not sure if the toolbox was included in this build for some reason, could be wrong. And same with the themes, couldn't get them to work. They worked on 2.9.7 but that was a kinda buggy release imo.

I hope the developer will fix these, and release the 3G data fix as well.

Its still being worked on. Having some force close problems that I haven't been able to resolve over the last couple months. I'll have an update out as soon as I can figure out what's causing the force close.
