Charging and reboot problems on HD2 - MIUI 2.3.2

    Hi All,

So have finally installed the latest MIUI rom on my HD2 (which is awesome! btw) and I only have two issues with it. The first is that the battery will not charge for more than a minute or so after which point it just does nothing. I can disconnect and reconnect the USB cable which will start it charging again only for another minute or so. I have tried different cables and chargers on different wall sockets and no change.

The other issue is that at seemingly random moments during the day the phone will start rebooting. It will do this whether I am using it or not and will reboot about 3-4 times before it stays on and stable.

Has anyone else seen this or having the same issue?

    Hello,

A bit same here. Everything works super smooth and well otherwise and loving the MIUI rom, but two issues are: no FM radio, which doesn't bother me at all because I never listen to radio anyway...but the 2nd issue I have also with reboots.

It seems to me the phone sometimes reboots up to 3-4 days a day (and I think it is often when receiving SMS messages), and/or freezes apparently sometimes before reboot, and taking calls.

Then again sometimes it may go a week without a single reboot just fine.

Oh, also, I don't know if it's the OS's problem, but the radio signal is really poor as well, I often lose signal while talking, have to talk by a window etc. usually, whereas other phones work well in the same spot.

hello ppl ...as far as the random reboots are concerned...have you tried to do a fresh instal ..you can always install apps back on your phone using batch apk installer ...and the person facing charging problem surely need a fresh install!

I haven't had any charging problems but I do see the random re-boots. The only constant I can see when it happens is if I am not on Wi-fi but using the 3G data connection. And it also seems to happen more in areas where my 3G is spotty. As far as I can tell it never reboots on Wi-fi.

install rom manager, or just restart into clockworkmod recovery. format your boot and system partitions ghen reinstall miui.us and your kernel. make sure to wipe the dalvik cache as well. after the first boot let it settle for a while then test your phone again.

your problems look like it only needs a clean install. reboot into clockworkmod recovery, format both your system and boot partitions then install miui.us rom then your kernel of choice.

if you feel like you want to go the whole nine yards, follow the instructions in the stickied thread on installing.
