Android OS seems to be eating my battery
After flashing MIUI version 2.3.2 and then restore my apps using titanium backup, I noticed that my phone get's hot and somewhat choppy lags when switching from home screen to screen. Android OS is using 83% of the battery and it looks like it's causing the phone to run hot and lagging a lot. Anyone else noticing this? I searched and searched and everyone keeps talking about it's a Samsung bug, but I don't have a Samsung I have the HTC Incredible and it only happens after flashing this version of MIUI

Re: Android OS seems to be eating my battery
My battery runs far better on MIUI.
Miui v4 was bad for battery life but the 2.3.2 gingerbread MIUI runs excellent. I get about a day at least out of it.

How do you get a day? I'm using stock battery and even with just the core apps on the rom I'm lucky if i get 12 hours. If I do like original poster I'd get maybe 9 hours

Re: Android OS seems to be eating my battery
Sorry for resurrecting this thread with first post, but I just had to comment on this. I have had this happen as well, seemed like it was always One or Two weeks after installing a new rom. Couldn't even make it a day without charging. I found that when I turned off auto sync (background data too), my battery would last 2 days easily. Not sure if it's just MIUI or the android framework, but there is something going on with either the Gmail auto sync or exchange. Try it

Re: Android OS seems to be eating my battery
hello,
it a very big problem of today's to save battery especially in androids , but you can save battery by putting your phone's brightness down most of the time it can save the battery for more time and also you can download some app to save the battery like- easy battery save and these are free for androids.....
