[Rom] [Miui] ICS 2.3.9 Alpha2***3/15/12

Well, after 53 test builds and a whole lot of help from the community I am happy to offer up a V4 Miui build for alpha testing.

Thank you to all who've contributed, for many late nights in IRC chatrooms, reading dozens of logcats, pushing, pulling, and decompiling files and sharing your information with me.

This is a very usable ALPHA rom.

Known Issues:
USB mounting
Netflix
Contacts force close (Go Contacts from the market works)
Themes / Lockscreens are hit or miss

I dont like so much in using beta versions, thus i will wait a bit. If we had status bar at bottom at stable versions it wuld have been perfect! :-)

Loaded it this afternoon. Seems VERY stable. I haven't experienced any FCs as yet.

Themes are indeed hit and miss but its not a deal breaker. Love the stock look and the upgrades to the apps are just awesome.

USB mounting may work through recovery, I haven't needed to try it yet.

From is early stages, but from first build till now its night and day. This from IS stable enough for a daily from. The tablet oriented status bar with soft keys makes it so much nicer, I recommend at least trying it.

Themes are hit and miss due to UI and framework differences between gingerbread and ics, they're slowly but surely being updated.

Indeed usb mounting works from recovery....... I was just trying to avoid a bunch of people shouting about no usb mounting from within the rom lol.

Ok, so I know there's no USB mounting, but is the SD card accessible from within the ROM? Meaning, will I be able to access music, Fancy Widgets skins, etc?

*edit: Nevermind, I just saw the SD is detected in the settings menu screenshot. Silly me!

Why doesn't the main launcher screen rotate to landscape? All the other landscape screens are great except the main MIUI launcher. I considered Nova Launcher but with that you lose launcher real estate.

<edit> I see now that the launcher is still an issue (fc's etc) so disregard, I will wait until the next version for MIUI launcher fixes.

Forgive the potentially stupid question, I'm new to the forum been using miui roms off and on for probably 6 months. I loaded the new 2.3.9 via rom manager assuming its the same one listed on this forum. I went to my settings screen and my android version was not listed as 4.0.3, it was listed as 2.3.7 nor did it look like that. I also didn't get the status bar with the built in soft keys. Button savoir came up. (I've loaded the rom with wiping cache and data, and davalik) So if i'm doing something wrong some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

The version availablethrough ROM manager is Gingerbread. The 4.0 version is only available at the link above and needs to be flashed manually through recovery. Also, coming from GB you will have to wipe data as well.
